Dorkington Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Ugly win, but I'll gladly take it. So much work to do in certain areas.
syhuang Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 ok good now lets pray we have an nfl running back dressing for us next week. Travis Henry is looking for a job.
Astrojanitor Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 outside of the Spiller injury, think there's a lot to feel good about today. Led for the entire game, no turnovers outside of that one VERY QUESTIONABLE Fitz fumble, greedy defense, Fitz making some decent plays, Choice rising to the occasion, breaking that awful losing road game streak...... Still not 100% convinced playoffs are happening, but they could be. So that's something
jester43 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 This isn't Madden. Even if our line can do this, it doesn't mean we should. The Cleveland Browns are plaing two opponents right now. Us and the clock. what the hell is "madden?" statistically it is the smarter play to for it on 4th and one from the 50 vs punting. but nfl coaches are chicken schidts.
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Wanny better come up with a better game plan Marcia will carve up this pass defense
ganesh Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 ok good now lets pray we have an nfl running back dressing for us next week. Tashard Choice did fine with some power running. I wish Gailey will trust more of his RB. At present, his 2nd WRs is doing nothing for him. If the other teams cover Stevie and Chandler, we are pretty much toast.
MDH Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) what the hell is "madden?" statistically it is the smarter play to for it on 4th and one from the 50 vs punting. but nfl coaches are chicken schidts. Statistically yeah, they have a decent shot at getting the first down. But the pros of making it don't outweigh the cons of not making it. Make it and the game is pretty much over. Punt the ball and prevent Cribbs from returning it for a TD and the game is pretty much over. The only way the game isn't over is if they don't make the first down when they go for it or it they allow a big return. There's a greater chance that the Bills fail to make the first down than of Cribbs returning it for a TD - hence you punt the ball. Edited September 23, 2012 by MDH
OCinBuffalo Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 The difference is: we have a real defense, who can step up and get off the field when required...and...stop a star RB. I expected Richardson to have a lot more yards than he did. And, the D completely owned him on screen passes, quick outs, etc. Very disciplined. OTOH, we faced a Dick Jauron D....which couldn't stop us from driving the entire field 3 times, without Spiller, all for scores.
MDH Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 9 sacks in the last 2 games Much easier to get sacks while leading and the other team is forced to throw in obvious passing situations.
Stealth Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Much easier to get sacks while leading and the other team is forced to throw in obvious passing situations. The Marcell Dareus sack when we were only up by 3 was not a "obvious" passing situation. This is what good dlines do when you need them to make a play
jeanbe Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 OL gave up no sacks, D played great with 2 sacks and an INT. I'm happy.
FreakPop Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 OL gave up no sacks, D played great with 2 sacks and an INT. I'm happy. Try the Bills had 4 sacks and 2 ints
ganesh Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 33 yards of total Rushing against the Bills. They have indeed come a long way. If they can continue to stop the run like this, they are more than likely to win their games.
MDH Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 OL gave up no sacks, D played great with 2 sacks and an INT. I'm happy. 4 sacks and 2 INTs
BRAWNDO Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 How about the fact that our back up running back 91 yards rushing. That OL rocks!!!
KRT88 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 No sacks allowed all season, 12TD scored, hey I'll take that
jeanbe Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 4 sacks and 2 INTs I happily stand corrected.
Britbillsfan Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 How about the fact that our back up running back 91 yards rushing. That OL rocks!!! Back up to the back up.
