thurman34 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Looking for suggestions as me and my family will be going to Buffalo next weekend for the Patriots Game. What are some good restaurants that are known to have good wings? What are some good places in the area to buy Bills apparel?
Dr. Fong Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Don't leave without trying a beef on weck. I like Charlie the Butchers'. Others can refer you better on wings, they all taste pretty damn good to me. I did go to a place called Brennan's several years ago and remembered having some outstanding wings. As far as apparel goes, I was a bit let down the last couple of times I've been to Buffalo as there doesn't seem to be a great one stop place. I guess the Internet has killed that. The stadium seemed to be about the best place to pick up merch.
Kipers Hair Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Best Bills gear is at the stadium store in the field house. Good....go to anchor bar...always good.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Duffs in orchard park for wings. Also as stated earlier beef on weck is a delicious local favorite and should be enjoyed.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Looking for suggestions as me and my family will be going to Buffalo next weekend for the Patriots Game. What are some good restaurants that are known to have good wings? What are some good places in the area to buy Bills apparel? Are you visiting family? Are you staying overnight in any particular community? The answer to your questions about where to eat are somewhat affected by where you'll be before and after the game.
RuffMuff Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I always go to the Pizza Glen in Glenwood, NY near Kissing Bridge Ski area. Its out in the woods but still not far from Orchard Park, just in the opposite direction of Buffalo. Best wings you'll find in Western NY. Small town hospitality to go with it. No crowds.
Frostbelt City Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) Don't listen to anyone else! If you want to have a good time in Buffalo and eat good food - get to Buffalo on SATURDAY. Try out DUFFS (best wings ever. Don't go to Anchor Bar). If you stay downtown - check our Chippewa - its 21+ and if you're not into clubs or that kinda thing... get dinner at a nice restaurant like "The Chocolate Bar" or "Soho". If you like to shop - go to the Galleria Mall. It's a top notch mall with all of the famous brands,They have a ton of Bills gear at "Laux". Check out Niagara Falls, too... its gorgeous at night. The Canadian skyline in Niagara Falls is breathtaking. The Seneca Casino is gorgeous - check it out. If you really wanna live it up - go to Canada and check out Clifton Hill. It has A TON of stuff to do. Gets pretty pricey, though. Edited September 23, 2012 by Frostbelt City

Offside Number 76 Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) There really should be something pinned for this. This thread happens in advance of every home game--no offense to OP at all!--but we really should just pin a thread for our guests to consult. And good Lord, Soho is not a nice restaurant. Even on Chip, Bacchus and Papaya are there. Soho? Good burgers, not great. Edited September 23, 2012 by Offsides Number 76
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 There are tons of these threads...pinning it all in one running thread might be helpful
jkrules Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 For great food, wings and Beef on Weck I would check out the Buffalo Brew Pub in Amherst. They also brew their own beer which is another reason to check them out. For Bill's merchandise you can go to the Bill's store or another good location is Laux's sporting good. They are in Eastern Hill's Mall or Galleria Mall.
