KD in CA Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yeesh, what is with the Welker hate? Sure, he's reaching the end of his career but he definitely has a decent few years left during which we can recruit a solid WR core. Because, let's face it, our current group is sub-par. A third round pick would be a great deal. It's not 'hate', it's the recognition that the Bills probably don't want to give him the long-term, top dollar contract he's seeking and therefore a 3d round pick is much too high for a half-season rental.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 is there a coach that has had the success he has had for a decade that didn't have a HOF caliber QB or at least close? Maybe a year or two here and there with less of a QB, but any of the so called dynasties have had HOF QBs. Bradshaw, Staubach, Aikman, Elway, Starr, etc. That's what makes Joe Gibbs' record in Super Bowls (3-1) so impressive. Gibbs won those Super Bowls with 3 different QBs… none of whom were great (Theismann, Rypien, and Doug Williams) . Gibbs also has a .621 winning percentage… .708 in the post season.
bills44 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 We all forget Bellyache got canned in Cleveland and was on his way out of NE until Mo Lewis made sure that Tom Brady was going to be the starter for the next 11+ seasons. GO BILLS!!! Mo Lewis made Belicheat's career.
