dib
Its a kinder, gentler Gollum.

Mark Vader
Can not wait for this one. Looks spectacular. The one thing that kills me is that I just know we will not see Smaug until Part II comes out in 2013. They don't even mention him in the trailer. TheMadCap
why did Jackson divide this into three parts? I think we know the reason$$$$....
BillsWatch
It is a mistake in news article - it is two parts - and when asked originally about creating a prequel he said it is too much story for one movie (it has been criticism of previous efforts) so studio offered to break it in two parts if he could find a way to make two movies compelling. Considering had a choice of a lot of other films to direct, he probably did not make a lot more money this way although less headaches probably. BillsWatch
No it's not a mistake. http://www.theonerin...ilm/#more-59780 Sorry never heard it was expanded from two to three films. Using the other stories is interesting but I'd have to see how they are linked.
Kiwi Bills fan
They filmed quite a few scenes from the movies around my region. (Nelson NZ) The wife and I are already booked to fly up to Wellington for the premiere on November 28th. I think the trailer looks fantastic.
