spartacus Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Lets look at this from a rational point of view....how can you even regulate it? Instead of kneeling down he takes the snap runs a sweep and then "trips" I JP Losman tried this maneuver - did not work out so well for him
NoSaint Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 What's the difference? Whatever you call it--unwritten rule, courtesy, custom--it appears that all of these players think it was bad form for Schiano to have ordered it. If that is the case, then codify the custom. It's easy enough to do. I guess a worded it less than elegantly. The courtesy is that even if his attack mode philosophy worked, he really still had no chance to win. Knock the ball loose with 1:30 on the clock and it's a different story (it was pretty tight to zeros on the clock, no?) Further context: Greg schiano is majorly hated in nfl circles for his attitude, long before this. Many nfl coaches hated him at rutgers and hated his hiring because they didn't want to deal with his attitude and arrogance weekly now. This was bubbling up before Sunday.
