The point ( to all the threads here on the first page) is that this election will be about....................Barack Obama.

we can argue about polling, the more aware can say that Mitt is doing this or that wrong, the weak minded can tell their Mitt jokes,

but the 2012 election is not about him...............despite the media and DNC efforts.

The election will be about Barack Obama and whether or not you want 4 more years of him and his 'leadership'

and thats why he will lose.

wrong on all counts. if the republicans nominated someone who people actually liked and trusted, they'd have a much better chance. this election is, to a large extent, about romney, his phoniness, his 180 degree turns on multiple important issues and his gaffes. unless a bombshell drops in the next 6 weeks (eg an economic calamity or obama says something nearly as stupid as mitt's 47% comment) obama wins and quite possibly with 330+ electoral votes.

Funny that Barry "created" 4.4M jobs, but the (higher number of) jobs lost are someone else's fault. The issue will come down to another likely 4 years of failure under Barry, or going with the guy who has experience running a state, company, and Olympics. Likeability means nothing when your likeable leader is incompetent.

Actually, right on all but the last count. This election is essentially a referendum on Obama...

...and that's why he'll win. Because people want to vote for a BFF, not a president.

while i disagree with your analysis on both counts, you need to differentiate between electability and leadership ability. they are not the same.

True. Barry is the poster child for being electable, but not a leader. And he had no qualifications to be prez, and pales in comparison to Romney.

But B-man's cartoon above pretty much sums up most Barry voters.

at least there are people whose vote can't be bought, who display a clear understanding of the shortcomings of their candidate's opponent.

I was talking to a friend of mine that used to live in Cleveland about this and joked him about what happened in his old stomping grounds. He said that it wasn't his old neighborhood. His old neighborhood was the whitebred area called Bedford

We watched the clip together and he had a Holy S### moment at the beginning when it flashed Bedford, OH. He said either the neighborhood really went to s### in the last 10 years or the protesters were bussed in

Four More Years!

It seems like only yesterday when the WH was telling everyone that four Americans were murdered in Libya because of a 15-minute video.

Oh, wait. It WAS only yesterday.

So the phone actually does what it's supposed to do when it's supposed to do it without blaming others for its incompetence?

Where would four more years of this lead us?

By Thomas Sowell

FTA:

The vision in which Obama has been steeped is one in which white Western nations have oppressed and exploited non-white, non-Western nations, becoming rich and arrogant at other people’s expense. It is a vision that calls out, not for justice, but for payback.

When Jeremiah Wright said, “white folks’ greed runs a world in need” — and Obama, by his own account, was moved to tears — this captured in a few melodramatic words what a whole series of Obama’s mentors and allies had been saying for decades. No wonder it resonated with him.

Despite hopes that Barack Obama’s election as president of the United States would mark the beginning of a post-racial era in America, no hope was ever so completely doomed from the outset. Anyone who looks beyond Obama’s soothing words about race to his record, from his joining self-segregated black students in college to his appointing Al Sharpton as a White House adviser, can see the contrast between rhetoric and reality.

Really Doc? Hey I know you LOVE to concentrate on the bad (or presumed bad), but if you don't believe EVERY politician doesn't play that game then you are fooling yourself.

Who praised buying houses with subprime, no doc loans while not warning that foreclosures were climbing monthly, to all time highs? ?
