BringBackFergy Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/rushing The stat line is impressive. Certainly hope he can keep it up. Isn't the stat line wrong re. 0 fumbles. I thought he fumbled on the catch down the sideline in the Jets game? I'm certainly not gonna email ESPN and tell them to change it.
bizell Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 i wonder if they're only counting fumbles on rushing plays...
BringBackFergy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Possible. I figured a fumble is a fumble.
truth on hold Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 i wonder if they're only counting fumbles on rushing plays... That or they watched the replay and like anyone with a clue realize he never had possession so it wasn't a fumble.
CBD Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Those are rushing stats, the fumble would be on the receiving stats page
BringBackFergy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Those are rushing stats, the fumble would be on the receiving stats page Gracias
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Whoever had Spiller, Bush, Lynch, Gore and Ridley as the top 5 rushers, raise your hand. Anybody?
BringBackFergy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Whoever had Spiller, Bush, Lynch, Gore and Ridley as the top 5 rushers, raise your hand. Anybody? Can I be kicked off this Board for having picked Shonn Green on my fantasy team?? I mean, that's akin to having a Tom Brady pillowcase isn't it?
Dorkington Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 That or they watched the replay and like anyone with a clue realize he never had possession so it wasn't a fumble. I guess I don't have a clue. He had possession and made a football move before getting stripped.
Wooderson Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I guess I don't have a clue. He had possession and made a football move before getting stripped. Agreed. He tucked it away and turned, I think that's enough for possession.
Malazan Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Can I be kicked off this Board for having picked Shonn Green on my fantasy team?? I mean, that's akin to having a Tom Brady pillowcase isn't it? No, but your fantasy league must love you if you're starting him.
BringBackFergy Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 I was an expansion team so I didn't have great RB's to choose from...Shonn Green, Jon Stewart and.....*gulp* Willis McGahee...
mrags Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I would have taken Stewart in a heartbeat of those guys. The guy is starter quality and has been his whole career. The Panthers love to use both thier guys equally so you should have been fine. Not sure if Stewart got injured since I don't play fantasy anymore but still, chances are he wasn't injured when you drafted. Ok, so one stat that has me boggled is the "long" column. Wasn't the TD against the Jets like 80+ yards? It says 56. Doesn't make sense to me. I was at work watching it on a small tv so excuse me if in wrong but I thought that long TD run against the Jets was much longer than 56. Takers? Anyone? Beuller? Anyone? Fry? Anyone?
Stealth Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I was ragged a bit for taking Reggie Bush and Spiller in my fantasy draft. No ones laughing now. All my later picks seem to be working out a lot better than my 1st rd pick of Matt Stafford and 2nd rd pick an injured Ryan Matthews. Although with Bush and Spiller playing how they are have some good trade options available to me assuming they keep this up or if one falters I would have taken Stewart in a heartbeat of those guys. The guy is starter quality and has been his whole career. The Panthers love to use both thier guys equally so you should have been fine. mrags Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Thanks. Didn't know. Anyone that read one of my posts (can't remember what topic) where I was arguing the long run of being 80+ yards, I'm sorry. Was basing my argument on crap. I was wrong.
apuszczalowski Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Obviously ESPNs page must be wrong We have all been told in the weekly breakdown of the days game (in no particular order) that Spiller sucks and was another waste of a pick/blunder by the GM..............
bills44 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Bust, midget, smurf, etc. blah, blah, blah...

1B4IDie Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Whoever had Spiller, Bush, Lynch, Gore and Ridley as the top 5 rushers, raise your hand. Anybody? Year over Year RBs are more volitale than WRs or QBs. There are a few exceptions but in the 21st century high picks in Fantasy Football on RBs tend to lead to more disappointment than titles. Not that I had those 5, but not suprised by the volitality. Edited September 17, 2012 by Why So Serious?
DrDawkinstein Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Just another case of Buddy asleep at the wheel. Now we also wasted a 2nd round pick on a Guard who will never be able to play OT in the NFL...
