That's nothing ... Check this story that just came out in the MD news a couple days ago...

A Maryland Democratic candidate quit her congressional race Monday after her own party told state officials that she had committed fraud by voting in both Maryland and Florida in recent elections.

Kudos' however, to her own party outing her on this...

A NAACP official is headed to jail for 5 years over voter fraud:

While NAACP President Benjamin Jealous lashed out at new state laws requiring photo ID for voting, an NAACP executive sits in prison, sentenced for carrying out a massive voter fraud scheme. In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee. Sowers received a five-year prison term for each of the 10 counts, but Circuit Court Judge Charles Webster permitted Sowers to serve those terms concurrently... ...Sowers was found guilty of voting in the names of Carrie Collins, Walter Howard, Sheena Shelton, Alberta Pickett, Draper Cotton and Eddie Davis. She was also convicted of voting in the names of four dead persons: James L. Young, Dora Price, Dorothy Harris, and David Ross. ….The NAACP has had other problems with voter fraud. The NAACP National Voter Fund registered a dead man to vote in Lake County, Ohio, in 2004. That same year, out of 325 voter registration cards filed by the NAACP in Cleveland, 48 were flagged as fraudulent.

Yes, only the democratic party is guilty of voter fraud and suppression...blah, blah, blah....

BOTH parties fight like hell (including fraud, manipulation, suppression, etc.) to get their man in, and then they make changes to reward their contributors.

Some choice, some democracy...

I love how the argument against these laws was that nobody had evidence of any real voter fraud.

So when faced with evidence implicating The People's Party, the argument now is that both sides do it.

So now that both sides do it, how do we prevent it from happening again?

Same gibberish reply.........everyone's equally guilty....so why fight it.

By the way, here's a terrific story, for those who cling to the "Voter ID = Voter suppression" nonsense. You may remember this lady............

Voter ID Challenger “Happy As a Clam” to Get Free ID in Pennsylvania

In another victory for voter ID, last week a Pennsylvania district court rejected a challenge to stop the state’s new voter ID law from going into effect before the upcoming presidential election.

Now the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Viviette Applewhite, the lead plaintiff in the case who claimed that she would be unable to vote because of the new law, has obtained a voter ID.

One day after the new law was upheld, Applewhite used a combination of her Medicare card, a state Department of Public Welfare card, and other documents showing her current address to obtain a free ID.

This latest development highlights the fact that requiring photo ID is not an onerous restriction or a “poll tax,” as Attorney General Eric Holder has erroneously asserted. Pennsylvania’s law will help prevent fraud in elections, and the state has a checkered past when it comes to voter fraud.

The challengers claimed that the requirement to present photo ID in order to vote would disenfranchise close to 9 percent of registered voters whom they purportedly could not obtain an ID without being severely burdened. The judge roundly rejected this claim.

The ACLU intends to appeal the decision, but now it is uncertain whether Applewhite will remain a party to the litigation, as she is “[h]appy as a clam” now that she received her new ID.

That may be your interpretation. Both parties fight like hell to make sure that candidates are party-line candidates only. This year, the repubs fought like hell to make sure Ron Paul would not rock the boat for their party-line candidate.; in 2004 the dems made sure Kerry would get the nomination and went after Howard Dean after his infamous yell.

What does this have to do with voter fraud? It's wrong no matter who does it. Why would anyone without an agenda fight against eliminating it?

You're confusing voter fraud with intra-party rules to guarantee the outcome they want. Show me something illegal, like voting under somebody elses identity

Because it necessarily disenfranchises people without actually fixing any of the 'voter fraud' problems we've seen so far? Maybe that's just one guess?

Should the Amish be ABLE to Vote for President?

YES or NO.

I can guarantee you that they don't have a drivers liscense.

There there are the Mennonite's

HUNTSVILLE, Mo., March 24 (AP) — The grocer, the butcher, a cabinet maker and several other members of this town’s Mennonite community are planning to move to Arkansas over a Missouri requirement that all drivers be photographed if they want a license.

The Mennonites, a plain-living sect whose members are similar to the Amish but typically more worldly, say the 2004 law conflicts with the Biblical prohibition against the making of “graven images.”

While many Amish and Mennonite people do not vote, those who do vote tend to vote for Republicans. But Republicans have led the charge across the U.S. to enact voter ID laws.

I said this months ago but some just don't want to listen. IT MAY HURT THE R's more than the Dems!!!

You continue to be wrong................to no one's surprise.

The request is , to vote you need ID.

NOT a driver's license.

I live in Allegany County here in WNY, and there are thousands of Amish living here.

They all have ID, that they use (just like everyone else) for their banking, shopping and medical needs.

As to your Mennonite example, those people are CHOOSING not to get the ID (As is their right) No one is depriving anyone of the right to vote.

ID is free and available.

Your arguments are simply regurgitated nonsense.

Oddly enough, no word from the candlestick maker.

Hurst and McConnell report that in 2004, 43% of Holmes County Amish were registered to vote, though only 13% did so, with most selecting Bush (An Amish Paradox, Hurst and McConnell, p 267).

Amish have been termed “armchair Republicans”, and are seen to be more sympathetic to the Republican party due to a perception of it as one more concerned with religion and traditional values. Though voting is not common, some Amish follow political news and many have and share opinions on politics and politicians.

that is what I posted.
