SoggyHog Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I have always dreamed of playing football in the National Football League, and as I approach my 41st birthday in November, I am starting to think my window of opportunity may be slowly closing. However, I believe there still may be time. First, I need to quit drinking and smoking. Then, get in shape. I would like to add about 70lbs. as I think my target weight should be around 240lbs. I figure that would allow me to play anywhere from MLB to WR or maybe SS and possibly reserve OG. I should probably learn how to play football, so I’ve decided to attend college next year. I assume they can teach me what I need to know. I would like to go somewhere close to home as I would love to have my granddaughter come to games and watch me. Washington St. or Rutgers or maybe Notre Dame sounds about right. Possibly Arizona State, not sure. I am thinking that I should declare early for the draft as time might be working against me, not sure. We'll see how it goes up to that point. I used to babysit a kid back in the early 80’s (for some extra cash to go to the arcade) and I heard he is an agent with some agency now, so, if I can pull the right strings, agent problem solved! The only problem I see at this point is I have sort of a low pain threshold. My eyesight isn’t that great, but that shouldn’t be too much of a concern. Never been very fast or a quick learner either, but I will get it sooner-or-later. The constant ringing in my ears should go away once I control my high blood pressure. I like to sleep in on Sundays, so maybe I can work out an “Every-Other-Sunday” clause in my contract. I’d be willing to do that, but I don’t know, we’ll see. Other than that, I think I can make this happen. I’d like to thank everyone that leaves an encouraging message and let this be a lesson to all you kids out there. You can always wait until later to pursue your dreams. They’ll still be there after you pissed half your life away. I promise!

Dennis in NC Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Soggy, you'll have plenty of time for joining the NFL... when you're livin' in a van down by the river!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Bring back crayonz! Â yea haven't seen him in awhile, has been banned. Â Maybe he is comforting the Honey Badger.
machine gun kelly Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Soggy  I think your high Buddy's draft board. Don't give up smoking. You can be like that kicker from the replacements and have heater in your mouth while kicking 70 yd field goals. Love that stupid movie.  Championship!
Shamrock Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Hook up Aaron Gibson for dietary advice.
Gray Beard Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Bring back crayonz! I agree! It was great fun watching him play mind games the sincere and uninitiated novices. I admit I fell for it once myself.
jumbalaya Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Great idea. BTW, your Viagara prescription will help ensure you can get up for Sundays.
