Virgil Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 In town the night before the game. We've done the falls twice and the wait to get into the original wings joints usually is terrible. Oh yeah, she's also preggo so drinking isn't an option
Offside Number 76 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 If you really want wings in the City of Buffalo, try Gabriel's Gate. Much, much better than Anchor, not as good as Duff's. If you want a nice dinner, well, we're going to need to know more about where you're staying.
NoSaint Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 You should drink a ton. You have a built in DD. Seems obvious man.
mead107 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Where are you staying? You can go up to Danny's to have a bite to eat with and meet a bunch of TBD members. They will start getting in around 7. Neat sports Bar and good food. Last few years they sit up behind the bar from where you walk in. You can come over to the Marriott and hang with our group. If you want my Number PM me asap. or PM jack. Pearl st Grill is interesting place to eat also. A ride out by the stadium on you way to Danny's .
Best Player Available Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Duff's in the "land of crabapples" Cheektowaga is good for 2 reasons good beer/ good wings. Doubt there is a line there anytime. Plus with a DD it's a reasonable place to start the evening.
WhickedWilliams Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Eat at "Mothers", best place in the city. Small nice intimate, and pocket friendly on the $.
papazoid Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 newest hottest restaurant in town is Mike A's at the Lafayette (pricey) http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120914/GUSTO/120919527/1031 if you want to be wow'd reasonable: #1- Hutch's on Delaware #2- Left Bank on Rhode Island
mrpunchy Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Gabriel's Gate and Mothers are both excellent suggestions. When family comes in from out of town I take them to Gabriel's Gate for wings. I think they are as good as anywhere in the city including Duff's. Mothers is more intimate if you are looking for fine dinning. I think that fat bobs is next to mothers and that place can be A LOT of fun.
Virgil Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Thanks for the suggestions. Money isn't an issue if the wife is happy. We are staying at the Hilton near the airport. I'm not sure meeting some of the people on here would go :-). I'm still slowly bringing her into football and the Bills family. Just today I was at East view mall in Rochester and was happy that Victoria's Secret had Bills clothing. That's the best way I've found to get her a hoodie and pants
Just Jack Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I'm not sure meeting some of the people on here would go :-) We're actually nicer in person.
John Belucheese Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 THE BAR BILL FOR WINGS but east Aurora is outta the way. Go to sea bar for nice sleek dining or ulriches for a tavern feel.
NoSaint Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 You obviously take her to Tempo. Married AND preggo- he's already sealed the deal man. She's not a free agent anymore.
NickelCity Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Married AND preggo- he's already sealed the deal man. She's not a free agent anymore. It only took two minutes. I just tee-d it up for ya.
Virgil Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Do I even want to know what tempo is?
PromoTheRobot Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Nice eateries: Left Banke, Mulberry's, Tempo, Rocco's in Clarence. PTR
NoSaint Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Do I even want to know what tempo is? Bills front office takes free agents there on visits. Of Mario Williams and meachem fame on day 1 this year.
Virgil Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Oh yeah, I remember the pics of that place. Looks like an Elks lounge or something. That would be an interesting idea
aussiew Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 We're actually nicer in person. And not as scarey...
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Chef's. They have fantastic Italian food and sauce. Very reasonably priced and its a local buffalo icon.
