B-Man Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 (edited) Mark Steyn: Yesterday I went to see Taken 2, one of those films in which Liam Neeson spends 90 minutes gunning down half the inhabitants of a foreign city. Funniest line:...................“Go to the US Embassy. You’ll be safe there.” Yeah. . . Unless a Spontaneous Movie Review Breaks Out Edited October 7, 2012 by B-Man
IDBillzFan Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Walls starting to fall in around the WH on Steven's death? From CBS news...Sharyl Attkisson, who already bothers the WH with her Fast and Furious reporting, is getting the truth out on Chris Stevens death. http://keyetv.com/ne...88EwYv8.twitter Ex-Security Team Leader In Libya: "Multiple Pleas" For "More, Not Less" Security Staff (CBS News) The former head of a Special Forces "Site Security Team" in Libya tells CBS News that in spite of multiple pleas from himself and other U.S. security officials on the ground for "more, not less" security personnel, the State Department removed as many as 34 people from the country in the six months before a terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others. Lt. Col. Andy Wood will appear this week at a House Oversight Committee hearing that will examine security decisions leading up to the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi. Speaking to CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson, Wood said when he found out that his own 16-member team and a six-member State Department elite force were being pulled from Tripoli in August - about a month before the assault in Benghazi - he felt, "like we were being asked to play the piano with two fingers. There was concern amongst the entire embassy staff." He said other staffers approached him with their concerns when the reduction in security personnel was announced. "They asked if we were safe," he told Attkisson. "They asked... what was going to happen, and I could only answer that what we were being told is that they're working on it - they'll get us more (security personnel), but I never saw that."
IDBillzFan Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Here come the wheels.... Fox reporting that on the evening of 9/12, a top Clinton aide briefed aides to congressional lawmakers that Stevens' death was a pre-meditated terrorist hit. WH repeatedly spends the next next week telling the world it was not a terrorist attack but rather just an isolated incident caused by some silly Youtube video, which ultimately resulted in the questioning and arrest of the filmmaker. http://www.foxnews.c...dinated-attack/ Under Secretary of State for Management Patrick F. Kennedy -- who exercises responsibility for all department personnel, facilities, and operations, and who is one of the department's most respected civil servants, having served in his position under both the George W. Bush and Obama administrations -- delivered the assessment in an unclassified, half-hour conference call with staff aides to House and Senate lawmakers from relevant committees, and leadership offices, on the evening of Sept. 12. That a State Department official of Kennedy's rank -- one with direct oversight of the installations and people targeted in Benghazi -- reached so swiftly the conclusion that the attacks were premeditated and coordinated stands in stark contrast to the opposing narrative pressed at that time, and for several days afterward, by other top officials at State, the White House, and the intelligence agencies. Three days after Kennedy's conference call, for example, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice appeared on five Sunday morning talk shows to insist that the attacks were neither coordinated nor premeditated, but were rather the result of a spontaneous mob action, inspired by an anti-Muslim video on the Internet, that spun out of control.
IDBillzFan Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Now Politico is reporting how Libyan embassy's requested help for security was left hanging by State Dept and WH. When you lose Politico... http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1012/82142.html?hp=l9
Nanker Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Romney drops the hammer on BO's foreign policy. Ouch!
DC Tom Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Romney drops the hammer on BO's foreign policy. Ouch! But when will Romney provide any details?
Nanker Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 But when will Romney provide any details? Well, maybe after he teaches his horse another trick. (gotta keep the media and the masses anxiously waiting)
IDBillzFan Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Jesus. Following release of a surveillance tape from Benghazi, the WH is admitting that EVERYTHING they told us about the attack in Benghazi was not true. There were no "copycat" protests, etc. Basically, a handful of guys with weapons went after Stevens to murder him, in spite of Stevens and others repeatedly asking for more protection. The hearings start tomorrow, and I have to admit I was skeptical that the media would get in on this, but the WH apparently put together a conf. call today to announce that they have completely lied to the American people and have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Very sad. http://abcnews.go.co...80#.UHTWoC6HJ8E
BillsFanM.D. Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 "The State Department denied Tuesday it ever concluded that the deadly consulate attack Sept. 11 in Libya was an unplanned outburst prompted by an anti-Islam movie, despite public statements early on by some in the Obama administration suggesting that was the case. The Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other Americans. Most notably, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said in several TV interviews five days after the attack that it appeared to be "spontaneous" violence spinning out of protests of the film." BillsFanM.D. Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Doesn't Susan Rice, as US Ambassador to the UN, work for the State Department? Them denying that fact ......makes as much sense as them currently denying their prior 'conclusions.' Having said that, I suspect she will swept away to some foreign country soon enough. Never to be heard from again....whoever she is/was.
TakeYouToTasker Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 This is just shameful on every !@#$ing level. The Obama Administration is having it's own Watergate scandal unfold less than a month before an election, only several million magnitudes worse because Americans actually died. And as if the Administration's causing of these deaths wasn't bad enough, they then tried to sweep it under the rug by attacking the !@#$ing First Amendment so they wouldn't be held accountable until after the election. Every single person involved in this mess should go to prison, and the President should be Impeached.

Listening to the beginning of the testimony, the Democrats are pinning the lack of Benghazi security on the Republican budget. In other words, the WH let people die because the GOP wouldn't give them money. Issa just explained that the budget in question was a bi-partisan budget which received one more Democratic vote than Republican. So, there goes that point of blame. Shameless on behalf of the WH. Just shameless.

Gary M Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Shameless on behalf of the WH. Just shameless. But not surprising. I am surprised they haven't blamed Bush.

I concur. 1000%. Yet, I'm still dumfounded that they are actually trying to pull off this 180. This is beyond brash. They are literally lying (we never concluded...) about their own lies (this was a spontaneous event). Rice, Clinton and Obama all joined in the apology/movie game. Meanwhile, the Libyan President stated very openly that the movie 'had nothing to do with the attack.' They beat this drum for two weeks and now we get this. Unbelievable.

And no doubt Ryan will hammer Biden on it, although admittedly, a lot fewer people will watch that one.
