BuffBill Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 It's been covered many times. Long story short, the collars have to do with the Nike flywire technology being unable to make the front part any color but the same color as the jersey. I have never heard that, why are more then half of the leagues jerseys one color with the collar and the jersey being the same (Cards, Bears, Giants, Steelers, Redskins, Bucs, etc.)? It could be worse just watch the Seahawks play a game in those uniforms-could hardly keep my dinner down.
CardinalScotts Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 35 years with a raise every year - got to be too much
Billsguy Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 What's the ''secret story'' behind this? http://www.buffalone...PORTS/120919625 'Bills equipment manager Dave Hojnowski has been fired by the team. Hojnowski was one of the longest-tenured employees in the organization, and was in his 35th year. The Bills had no comment on Hojnowski other than to confirm he no longer is employed by the team. He had been working with the club throughout training camp and preseason. The move apparently came last week. The Bills' equipment staff is headed by Jeff Mazurek, director of equipment operations, and includes two assistant managers.' Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix looking for someone else to blame?

PromoTheRobot Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix looking for someone else to blame? Correction: A previous version of this story did not indicate that Hojnowski had retired. PTR
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Somebody's gotta take the blame for those hideous "collars!"
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 it was him or the midget someone had to go. i have read alot of stupid stuff on this site but this tops it from my opinion.
Wooderson Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix looking for someone else to blame? They offered him early retirement incentives and he took it. I guess it happened before last game but it's just coming out now.
Punch Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Considering the Bills had their jocks handed to them by the Jets this past weekend, perhaps it was decided the equipment manager was no longer necessary.
White Linen Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Rumor has it he switched the cups of Fitz and Mario lol Shouldn't laugh at your own jokes.
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I have no quantitative evidence but my own observation tells me the Bills seem to fall down - even on their own turf - more than any other team I watch. I know this guy retired but I wonder if it's possible that the equipment dept is not providing them with the right / best shoes, among other things...
stevestojan Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 i have read alot of stupid stuff on this site but this tops it from my opinion. Really???? I mean sure, pointing out that we have a midget on our staff is sophomoric but you're so sensitive to it that it's the STUPIDEST thing you've read on this site? When did you join, yesterday? I mean after all, the guy is indeed a midget (which I believe the correct term is little person now, which I can't believe they'd actually rather be called, but I digress.)

Are they not sponsored by Nike and given the best equipment available?
RuntheDamnBall Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Really? Are they not sponsored by Nike and given the best equipment available? I have no idea about their sponsorship and what individual players choose to wear, but you wear different shoes for different kinds of turf and conditions.
Just Jack Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Man, first Chuck Lester gets let go last year, now Hojo takes takes early retirement. Who's next?
FLutieFLakesPLZnoOJ Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Pretty good farce, but the implication that McKelvin gave a comprehensible quote is a step too far. hahaha agreed
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Must've finally found those photos of the execs.

Captain Caveman Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Sloppy !@#$ing journalism. Poor guy probably had 20 friends call him yesterday and ask what he did to get fired.
