Just Jack Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Can anyone explain why the embassey was using locals instead of Marines? I thought it was standard practice to use our own military for security, or was it outsourced?
DC Tom Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Can anyone explain why the embassey was using locals instead of Marines? But this wasn't the embassy, it was the consulate in Benghazi. So it might be different.
Just Jack Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 So a consulate is like a "remote office", and an embassay would be the "home office"?

Nanker Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I could tell you but then I'd have to shoot you. Every Embassy hires local police forces. Do they partake in raping captured ambassadors, or do they just slink away into the cordite filled evening air?
