Smiley Dear Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Tough break for Nelson... One of my favorite players. I'm sure he'll be back next year. I guess Easley gets called up. Really wish they would have held on to Hagan instead of Ruvell Martin who is useless as a receiver.
5 Wide Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Thats a tough blow. Figured that was the.case when he crumpled without contact making a cut
San-O Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I'm starting to think the Bills really screwed the pooch on the WR portion of the roster.
VanCity Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 TO or Ochocinco anyone? All kidding aside, this is very, very bad news. Nelson has good hands and a good repore with (gasp!) Fitz. He is a pretty reliable WR, something this team needs badly. Is this Easley's chance?
Jerry Jabber Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 That's a huge loss. IMO, the FO should sign a veteran FA (like Burress or Branch).
zow2 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Roosevelt was a pretty slippery guy in the slot. I wouldv'e liked to seen him fill this position. But how do you bypass a WR on your practice squad for a guy you cut? I guess Easley gets the call.
VanCity Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 That's a huge loss. IMO, the FO should sign a veteran FA (like Burress or Branch). Ā Although I'd be happy to have Deion, is Plax an option for the vision that Chan and Buddy have for this squad? Not that I am defending any vision that either of them have based on yesterdays performance.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 @AdamSchefter Bills WR David Nelson tore his ACL - out for year. Ā I hope they get Plaxico or another established Veteran FA and not a PS callup or Roosevelt
HeHateMe Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) I'm starting to think the Bills really screwed the pooch on the WR portion of the roster. Ā This... extremely thin to even start the game. 1 injury and now we are in the same exact position as last year.. With a WR core that scares no one in an offense that relies way to much on them. Ā Fire everyone. Ā Also - has Stevie Johnson had a groin injury for a full year now.. how has that not healed in the off season? He is a number 2 disguised as a number 1 anyway. Captain Hindsight Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Tough break for Nelson. One of my favorite Bills
5 Wide Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I actually think Roosevelt would be the perfect replacement for Nelson. A sure handed guy who settles into the weak spots and is open a lot. He's no burner, but he's good for 7 ypc.
jr1 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 This sucks. His hand eye coordination is really good as seen in his catching the deflection yesterday
BuffBill Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I'm starting to think the Bills really screwed the pooch on the WR portion of the roster. That seemed quite obvious when they ignored that position, in fact the entire offense during the off season. Once Vincent Jackson signed with Tampa they did nothing. I guess if there is a bright spot it is early enough where he should be full go for camp next year. How many weeks until the draft?
marauderswr80 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Id sign both branch and plax and bring back naaman!

Ā If Chan Gailey wants to save his job, if he can, he better figure out how to start running the ball a lot more and throwing a lot less: Same as last year, Fitz can't throw and weak WR group. BillsVet Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I'm starting to think the Bills really screwed the pooch on the WR portion of the roster. Ā That's not the only part of the roster where they did that.
BuffBill Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I am still scratching my head as to why they brought back Ruvell Martin instead of Roosevelt or someone else with a clue.
marauderswr80 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Dont forget.....Stevie is one long stride or cut away with a groin injury and could be out several weeks!
Joe Miner Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 At least he has a hot girlfriend to comfort him in his time of need.
