Búfalo Blanco
Peyton had his choice of playoff-calibur teams to go to along with several other teams falling all over themselves to just get him to visit.... Why would he choose Buffalo when Denver and the 49ers came calling?
Boludo
peyton would have NEVER come to buffalo even if the bills could have paid him $50m/year somehow
BiggieScooby
Mario only because he has another good 5 seasons in him. If we suck again this year we will likely be in position to get a top tier QB. Edited September 10, 2012 by BiggieScooby
Rob's House
At the time I thought Manning would never recover from his neck injury. I have a similar injury & after 14 years it still plagues me. But after tonight I'd have to say Manning. I'm sure Fitz & Mario will both play better going forward, but it's rare you have an opportunity to sign an all-time great. Even if only for two or three years, it'd be a hell of a ride. Of course, he'd never have signed here anyway so the point is moot. Still, I'd like to see him win another SB so he can take his rightful claim to the title of best QB of the era & leave Irsay lying awake nights riddled with regret & tearing up to the sound of Cinderella pumping through his speakers. Malazan
Peyton made it known which teams were options and which were not options. Buffalo was not an option.

apuszczalowski
Manning over Mario? Sorry no. Manning over Fitz, hell yes. Yeah, gotta agree. I can't say that I think Manning would make a good DE, especially with the previous neck surgery

Maury Ballstein
Manning obviously as this is a qb league..........without a qb you might give up 40 to the jets......that would really stink
Dorkington
Originally, Mario. Younger, and a position that we were extremely weak in (weaker than QB at the time). Now? It's clear that Mario just came here for a paycheck, and to finish out his career in a relaxed manner. At least Peyton is a competitor.

Dorkington
Wow, amazing, you know this after watching one game of his. If it was one bad game of him *trying*, I would be less "upset". But he looked completely disinterested many plays, to me. Hopefully I'm wrong.
apuszczalowski
Wow, amazing, you know this after watching one game of his. Not that I agree with what the guy you are replying to believes, but I would say his crying after the game about the officials ignoring his complaints about the Jets linemen hitting him doesn't make it sound like he came here to get his hands dirty to play

Best Player Available
Peyton had his choice of playoff-calibur teams to go to along with several other teams falling all over themselves to just get him to visit.... Why would he choose Buffalo when Denver and the 49ers came calling? If Nix was waiting in a corporate jet on the runway, and Peyton was escorted out. He would have done a 180 and laughed. Why Mario got on board we will never know. $$$ The Bills organization is not for winning quarterbacks (or many players for that matter). The few very good ones out there know it. Mario was sold a bogus bag of goods, possibly based on some 2nd tier, has been dumpster hire called the "stache. I give Mario the benefit of the doubt on this one. In time he will earn his game check.
