Numark Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) Holy crap did he look great out there. He had the very costly fumble but otherwise looked like an elite player. I could see him developing into a top 10 weapon in the league by the end of the year Edited September 10, 2012 by Numark

I really think CJ is going to emerge as the primary runner with FJ backing him up and getting 30 o 40% of the carries too. FJ cant stay healthy, CJ is faster, younger, and more explosive and has rounded out his game with the pass protection. His time is coming, and I think sooner than some people here want to admit. And I say that while fully admitting that I am big FJ fan too... Edited September 9, 2012 by Alphadawg7
CarolinaBill Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 aside from the fumble, which i dont think was a fumble, he played GREAT, could've easily has over 200 if not for a shoestring tackle and Chan's bromance with Choice.

And I say that while fully admitting that I am big FJ fan too... I really don't know how you can justify keeping CJ off the field anymore...I mean Jackson is a tremendous player, but CJ is becoming simply unstoppable. He is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches it. Two 50+ yard runs today and another one where he would have been gone if not for a last second shoestring tackle by Revis(the play he got hurt on). I have really noticed how well CJ is using his blockers, literally cruising behind them, waiting for them to block the player then just bursting past defenders who seem to have no prayer of catching him. If he stays healthy and remains the feature back, he could have a Chris Johnson like 2,000 yard season, he has become that good. I mean Jackson had 6 carries for 15 yards, Spiller 14 carries for 169 yards and a ridiculous 12.1 YPC. For all of us who doubted the Spiller pick, he is turning into a fantastic player...
killshot Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 work on extinding his contract from now . If you wait too long we will lose him FA .
bills1960 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Certainly one of the bright spots. Makes the possible loss of Freddy a little easier to bare.
Numark Posted September 9, 2012 Author Posted September 9, 2012 Yea I think this guy needs to touch the ball 25 times a game. He is just explosive.
drinkTHEkoolaid Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Wtf is choice even doing on the field? Spiller was fantastic.. lost in his fumble is if Fitz hit him in stride and not underthrown him it could have gone for td but he still went up and made a nice grab just couldn't maintain possession

dayman Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 How can people not think that was a fumble?

swnybillsfan Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 i love the way he was using his blocks and then attacking the feild with amazing burst. he also showed elusiveness, strength and balance. i love fred jackson, and i want him back on the field as soon as possible, but you cannot ignore the talent and desire that cj is playing with. what we are seeing may be the passing of the proverbial torch.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 How can people not think that was a fumble? Bills fan denial. It's a serious disease.
John from Riverside Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Even with the fumble he played great....you still need a short yardage back to play with him. Spiller is gonna get his cance...I think we are going to lose FJ for over a month
DrDawkinstein Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 He was the only Bill that showed up to play hard. Maybe some of the OL as well, but CJ was the only one out of 53 that noticeably looked to be trying. The only bright spot from an otherwise horrible, horrible (non-)effort.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Time for C.J. Spiller to step up and prove that he should have been the first rb taken in the 2010 draft 9th overall. He's got to make the most out of his starting role! LGB!!!
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 17 yard td run. That's what I'm talkin' about!
