phillyrich Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Team, If this is a duplicate topic, my apologies. In prep for 1st weekend of football, found an interesting statistic. From 2006 - 2010, QB's who either led or were tied for the league lead in INT's thrown, all have something in common during their next season. What is that you ask? Each QB made it to the playoff's: 2006 - Ben Roethlisberger Pitt -> 2007 playoffs 2007 - Eli Manning GMEN -> 2008 playoffs 2008 - Brett Favre JETS -> 2009 playoffs with Vikings 2009 - Jay Cutler Bears -> 2010 playoffs 2010 - Eli Manning GMEN -> 2011 playoffs Who led the league in INT's in 2011? Ryan Fitzpatrick Bills. This post is not with the intent of comparing Fitz to those 5 QB's, just leading the league in INT's then what happened the following year. What's this mean for the Buffalo Bills in 2012????? Go Bills.
swnybillsfan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 there's a couple superbowl rings there too, i'd like to see fitzy go 2 for 2 on that list!
San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Interesting stuff. Those are some major talents leading the league in that category. It must have to do with risk/reward… something some QBs will never understand.

San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 edwards? I didn't want to start hammering on ex-Bills on opening day so… maybe.
swnybillsfan Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I didn't want to start hammering on ex-Bills on opening day so… maybe. i wasn't necessarily hammering, just opining that he seemingly has the talent, just never really played with any kind of abandon.

BrooklynBills Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 If more teams had allowed 2nd string QBs to play all 16 games, I doubt those guys would be leading the league in Ints. There is a big difference between those guys and fitz. Fitz - 7th round talent, weak arm. All those other guys are top 10 draft picks or a hall of fame qb.
