Maury Ballstein Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Williams is not blah at all. He is raw but his talent is incredible. hes blah....hes too big to turn his hips around and make plays.........plenty of time to show me more........seems like more of a safety than a CB to me.
billsfan89 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Its all potential right now, The D-line, the young secondary even Sheppard, Moats, Brandham at LB. Its all looks like it can be very good, but it has to be seen on the field first. Right now I think A.Williams will struggle early on in the season. I like what I have seen from McKelvin out of the slot and Gilmore and I know Mcgee can be capable if he gets on the field. I think A.Williams will be the subject of many TBD posts for this season, in a bad way. Check back 8 games in the season and we will know just how good this secondary is, or at the very least have a good idea. Even Gilmore could still struggle at times.
Damond Talbot Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 I understand they are young and haven't played yet, but do you think they will be the problem of this defense? I would like to see your opinions.
CardinalScotts Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 they have a chance to be tremendous, I just wish they would have the guts to realize George Wilson is a weak link and make the change. Wilson is a great leader and from what I can tell a good guy but he can neither cover or tackle worth a darn. Yes I hope he makes tons of plays - but reality is he'll kill us
NewEra Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Williams? Williams? You're talking about Aaron Williams? LOL! This Williams is not blah at all. He is raw but his talent is incredible. He may not be blah, but he's even worse.....the biggest liability on our defense. Just because the guy is big and athletic, don't get blinded. He got burned all preseason and last season when he played. He's made a couple plays, but inconsistency plagues his play. I think Gilmore and Brooks will be our starters next season and Williams will be playing for a roster spot. Wanna talk about best young corners, they were mentioned. IMO its Claiborne and Carr. Those kids can flat out ball. If Romo can remain constant and not implode, they've got a chance to make a run at it this year. Their defense is loaded. Edited September 8, 2012 by NewEra
poblano Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 Williams? Williams? You're talking about Aaron Williams? LOL! you remember me Jim Mora in a press conference when someone asking him about playoffs
papazoid Posted September 8, 2012 Posted September 8, 2012 gilmore hasn't played a down......but he sure looks promising... williams is a disaster at corner....he will be a safety soon.
Damond Talbot Posted September 8, 2012 Author Posted September 8, 2012 Wow, I am surprised of all the Aaron Williams hate, i actually like him a lot

LiterateStylish Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 gilmore hasn't played a down......but he sure looks promising... williams is a disaster at corner....he will be a safety soon. Aaron Williams played 10x better than Gilmore today. And he had a forced fumble.
BringBackFergy Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 ... there may be another thread worthy of resurrection .. I know what you mean...hate to be called a numbskull on that issue again.
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Anyone want to vote on this topic again?? Based on what I saw today, I'll vote again - NO I'll go out on a limb and say NO as well.
Sisyphean Bills Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Who's the competition in this category?
BringBackFergy Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I believe the OP suggested Gilmore and Williams based on how our Dline will loosen balls up for them.
bradjames24 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Despite what happened today I'm still pretty excited about Gilmore. I'm less optimistic on Williams but I'll give him this season before saying it was a wasted 2nd rounder.
