John Adams Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) Said it last year. Say it again now. Groin injuries don't go away. He needs to take off 6-9 months to have a chance at kicking this. Hamstring pulls are similar injuries. They need absolute shutdown for a long time. Playing through them (like Stevie did last year) is a terrible decision. Edited September 5, 2012 by John Adams
BillsGuyInMalta Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Here's BB.com's take on it. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2012/09/05/stevie-limited-in-practice/
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Said it last year. Say it again now. Groin injuries don't go away. He needs to take off 6-9 months to have a chance at kicking this. Hamstring pulls are similar injuries. They need absolute shutdown for a long time. Playing through them (like Stevie did last year) is a terrible decision. I can see that. I remember pulling a groin playing pick-up football in college. So painful--couldn't lift my leg to put my pants on. And right when I felt I kicked it, it crept back up on me.
BiggieScooby Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Stevie has 5 months off after we win SB47.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 This preseason Stevie has looked NOTICEABLY quicker and explosive than he did at any time last year.
BillnutinHouston Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 What is it with this team and groins? Stevie, Pears, Anderson, am I missing anyone else?
Captain Hindsight Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 What is it with this team and groins? Stevie, Pears, Anderson, am I missing anyone else? Getting lucky after practice i assume

Coach Tuesday Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Listed as doubtful on the injury report FWIW. Really? I didn't see that - that's not good.
CodeMonkey Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 (edited) Listed as doubtful on the injury report FWIW. I think Brady was listed as doubtful every game last season. But Johnson is not listed as doubtful here. http://www.buffalobi...ury-report.html Edited September 6, 2012 by CodeMonkey
K-9 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I think Brady was listed as doubtful every game last season. But Johnson is not listed as doubtful here. http://www.buffalobi...ury-report.html Where does that say SJ is listed as doubtful? GO BILLS!!!
bowery4 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Smith has a groin thing too, it is the tears that are the worst, a pull can be nagging though. I thought SJ had a tear last year hence the operation, Pears too. But the team never really goes into the full monty about what it is do they.
Matt in KC Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Listed as doubtful on the injury report FWIW. Hey, what gives? Where did you see or hear something like that? Post a source or retract your statement before you get a whole bunch of other people worked up like me!
bills_fan Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Sorry I cannot link it (can't find it online), but it was in today's NY Post. Urbik is questionable. Smith & Johnson are doubtful.
K-9 Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Sorry I cannot link it (can't find it online), but it was in today's NY Post. Urbik is questionable. Smith & Johnson are doubtful. According to the official NFL injury report for this week, as of right now, there are no game status reports for any injured players for games this upcoming Sunday and Monday. Who knows where the NY Post got their info. GO BILLS!!!
