Doc
That's because liberals have jobs that don't allow them to listen to the radio all day--not a lot of truck drivers and dishwashers in their camp, that's all. True. Libs are more the "Jerry Springer" and "Judge X/Y/Z" types.

Ooooh, I see. No radios at work. So I'm kinda curious. Let's see if you can answer this question without tripping over your own thought process again: since truck drivers and dishwaters are in the conservative camp, what jobs do liberals have that don't allow them to have radios at work all day? The Big Cat
Do you disagree with something I said? Yes, I find your depiction of Rush Limbaugh's on-air persona as a non-mean spirited guy to be the opposite of my own impression. But that's just my opinion, man. Ooooh, I see. No radios at work. But that's just my opinion, man. How often do you listen to the show? I ask because I listen frequently & the only time I ever hear him rip into someone in a mean spirited way is when they were talking **** or lying about someone. By your standard, can you identify any political media personalities who aren't?

Political media personalities, by their very definition, would be out of work if they weren't polarizing (read: dickish).

The Big Cat
I'm ok with that assessment. But you have to admit Rush gets far more flack than his left-wing colleagues. Colleagues is a loose term considering none of them even come CLOSE to being in his league. So from that standpoint, the flack is proportional: http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2010/11/01/power-list.html (Two years old, but I doubt the numbers have changed that much. Literally nobody on the left to even REMOTELY rival him)
TakeYouToTasker
They also don't need to listen to the radio, since they already know everything... Incorrect. They don't listen because they can't afford them, and there are no government programs to subsidise their purchase.

That primarily speaks to the frequency of his coverage rather than the nature of it though.

C.Biscuit97
I'm tired of people shitting on Rush. He's a conservative guy having fun talking about politics on the radio. He's not a mean spirited guy like Olbermann or Lawrence O'donnell, he's not a phony like Bashir and Andrea Mitchell, he's not vulgar like Bill Maher, he's not an !@#$ off the record like Al Franken, & he's not half the blow-hard Tingles is. Yet he's far more demonized than all of them put together. If people were honest they'd either say they don't like him b/c he's conservative & they're libs or they'd admit they don't listen to him & base their opinions on reputation. The demonization of him is straight up bull ****. I think most free thinking people think of him as a joke. And I applaud him for making a lot of money by getting people worked up, but if I was a Republican, I'd hate that he was associated with my party. What does anger really do to solve problems? whether you like the guy or not, it sickens me how people can hate the President of our country. I was no Bush fan but I still hoped for the best. And while I'm not Romney fan either, I'd still want him to be the best leader he could be if he wins. Sadly, most people who listen to Rush and the like couldn't say the same. And that is one of the biggest problems with this country (Dems do it too but IMO are less angry about it). We have become a divided nation more interested in hoping the candidate we didn't vote for fails. And that's completely pathetic. I'm ok with that assessment. But you have to admit Rush gets far more flack than his left-wing colleagues. It's because he's so angry. Bill Maher is angry but he is somewhat funny and at least honest about his faults. Rush is blowhard who talks out of both sides of his mouth. I don't care about people's private lives but don't cry about drugs when you are abusing them yourself. And it is a big deal when someone who is constantly talking about the war on drugs is a pill popper himself. You lose all credibility. It's like Ike Turner talking about why you shouldn't hit a woman.

It's like Ike Turner talking about why you shouldn't hit a woman. You need to expand your sources of information. It seems like everyone of your posts in every thread is misinformed bs right out of the DaileyKos.
Rob's House
I think most free thinking people think of him as a joke. I don't care about people's private lives but don't cry about drugs when you are abusing them yourself. You're fukking with me, right? You gotta be. I pegged you in the second paragraph of my first post. If you can't accept that your problem with him is that he's conservative & making fun of the silly beliefs you hold dear, then I can only conclude that self-awareness isn't your strong suit. Right. And he doesn't imply the Obama is a foreign born Muslim socialist who is single handedly destorying America? And it is a big deal when someone who is constantly talking about the war on drugs is a pill popper himself. You lose all credibility. It's like Ike Turner talking about why you shouldn't hit a woman. If you'd had any credibility to begin with you just spent all of it. Now I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you know next to nothing about a man you've volunteered to share insight on. Virtually everything you just said is either patently false or a gross misrepresentation of the truth. Nevertheless, I'm sure nothing could dissuade you from your certainty on this, or any other matter.
