JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 All those WR cuts tells me what CJ Spiller will be spending alot of his time doing.
jahnyc Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 If Brooks really has a broken foot, I wonder if he gets put on the new IR, or if they use it on McGee.
DanInUticaTampa Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Sounds like the Bills will claim a WR to me...... Yes. I see them with 5 recevers, NOT counting brad smith
hondo in seattle Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) I think this lack of depth at WR is going to haunt us this season. Maybe we'll sign a FA? We ran a lot of 4 WR sets last year. Hard to do this year with only 4 WRs plus Brad Smith and maybe CJ split wide sometimes. There's bound to be injuries. Edited September 1, 2012 by hondo in seattle
BillsRUs Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 As per Joe Buscaglia Released: WR Aiken OL Asper TE Brock RB Brown LB Carder OL Carmon WR Easley DE Eddins DT Edwards DT Gilbert DB Green WR Hagan DT Heard
The Senator Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) Buffalo News blog (TG) says they're keeping Thigpen and Jackson, and Dickerson. Also confirms list of WR cuts. I'm confused - WKBW-TV sports director Jeff Russo reported on-air during the 6 PM newscast that the "Tyler Thigpen Experiment is over, at least for now," and that Thigpen has been cut, mainly due to salary considerations. The Bills are on the hook for his entire $3.5M salary if he makes the final roster, are betting no one will pick him up, and therefore will be able to re-sign him down the road (for far less $$$) should something happen to Fitz or it becomes otherwise necessary (since, even though Thigpen sucks out loud, he's already familiar with the system). EDIT: I guess Russo was wrong. . Edited September 1, 2012 by The Senator
BillsRUs Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 ...Scott McKillop, Nick Saenz, David Snow, Johnny White, Keith Williams. Whoa they cut Heard too
Saint Doug Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Sounds like the Bills will claim a WR to me...... Any ex-GT insurance agents floating around?

LiterateStylish Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 WR Kamar Aiken, OL Mark Asper, TE Kevin Brock, RB Zach Brown, LB Tank Carder, OLJames Carmon, WR Marcus Easley, DE Robert Eddins, DT Dwan Edwards, DT Jarron Gilbert, DB Isaiah Green, WR Derek Hagan, DT Kellen Heard, WR Ruvell Martin, LB Scott McKillop, PShawn Powell, WR Naaman Roosevelt, LB Nick Saenz, OL David Snow, RB Johnny White, OL Keith Williams.
jahnyc Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 So Carrington made it (as a DT)? That is a surprise. I expect we will take advantage of the new IR rule for one player and eventually waive Thigpen after Jackson learns the playbook. That will open up two spots on the roster for a wide receiver and another DB since McGee is still recovering from his knee problems.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Not any huge surprises to me and I expected some. Young only makes it because Sanders goes to IR. They needed an extra DB so Howell makes it because McGee and Brooks are hurting. Morrison I thought would stay and White looks like a tough SOB to me as a LB. I thought Carder was a lock until remember White was a #5 pick at same position last year and looked good.
Coach Tuesday Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 3 luxuries: wildcat specialist, kickoff specialist, 4th QB. Is this a roster that can afford 3 luxuries??
G-Daddy Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the link Don and LitSty......So how many 2012 draftees remain on the roster right now? Edited September 1, 2012 by DGW54321
Captain Caveman Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 3 luxuries: wildcat specialist, kickoff specialist, 4th QB. Is this a roster that can afford 3 luxuries?? Well, your wildcat specialist and 4th qb are the same person, so it's one roster spot. thigpen will be gone in a few weeks.
Kelly the Dog Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 3 luxuries: wildcat specialist, kickoff specialist, 4th QB. Is this a roster that can afford 3 luxuries?? Smith plays 6 positions, why would anyone still call him a luxury or just wildcat specialist? Plus TT is only until TJ is ready. I doubt he lasts more than two weeks. The KO specialist is the luxury, but it keeps up fro keeping a ST specialist like Ruvel Martin whose duties are lessened greatly by the KO specialist.
