shoretalk Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 We loved the name ... we loved the story ... but if you watched him in game action he struggled and seemed lost. Hopefully. he'll clear waivers and settle into the PS to develop for a year and become more of what we all wanted him to be.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 31, 2012 Author Posted August 31, 2012 The thing is, Chris White was a fifth rounder last year, who looked better than I imagined before he got hurt, and was playing the same position. It's quite possible that White just beat him out. It's also possible that they want to keep McKilop and Morrison, for different reasons, and because of problems at other spots, like CB, they thought they had to get by with six LBs plus Scott, and liked Morrison's versatility or veteran presence over Tank's potential. I think Tank MAY clear waivers and be put on the PS but will be offered a contract by another team within a few weeks when all the dust settles, and then the Bills would be forced into making a tough decision..
DanInUticaTampa Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Why not put him straight to p/s? Because players have to be cut and clear waivers before you sign them to practice squad
TheMadCap Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Why not put him straight to p/s? He has to clear waivers first...
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Why not put him straight to p/s? You have to wait 24 hours and if no one claims him you can put him on PS
Reed83HOF Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Tank Tweeted this: @tankcarder Preciate everything the Bills have done for me thus far, wasn't the right fit, best of luck to the team and the organization The right fit part makes me wonder if he will even be PS'd

Im still super high on White as well.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I'm shocked. He was looking decent in camp. Perhaps they're doing it to sign him to the practice squad, but from the tweet in doesn't sound like it.
inkman Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Im still super high on White as well. Still? I remember the booger sugar high lasting just a short while. Good for you then. ;-)

Ramius Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 If his name was Bill Carder, no one would be shocked or stunned at all.
macaroni Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 If his name was Bill Carder, no one would be shocked or stunned at all. Well I for one wouldn't mind if Bill Carder gets cut .... never heard of him and he has a pretty dull name. TANK on the otherhand has a super cool name

I wish him the best of luck and hope he can go the distance and become a great pro player
Hapless Bills Fan Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Maybe Chris White Based on what I saw last night, I hope not. Why not put him straight to p/s? No can do. Everyone must clear waivers for 24 hrs before they can be signed to PS. League rules.
The Poojer Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Thanks! Because players have to be cut and clear waivers before you sign them to practice squad
Brainiac72 Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Not only that, but you don't assign a guy to practice squad...he has to sign all over again, he's a FA. he can join another team's practice squad if he wants.
stinky finger Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 That is disappointing. I hope he makes it to the practice squad. I still believe he will be a capable starter in this league. Yeah. He can be our next Jasper.
