DanInUticaTampa Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 It will be interesting what they do with Easley  I think they cut him and then sign him to practice squad, which apparently he is still eligible for
cage Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I think they cut him and then sign him to practice squad, which apparently he is still eligible for  I agree,... he certainly peaked their interest last night, but I think they can put him on Practice Squad. I'm sure some injury would elevate him to the roster at some point during the season
jahnyc Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 I think the situation with the corners (injury for Rogers and set back for McGee) is a complication for determining the roster. May also impact whether the Bills feel they can keep Potter as a kick-off specialist.
Mark Long Beach Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 When I saw 98 on the field late last game, and he wasn't doing much good, I knew he was a goner. Which was a surprise, I'd been under the impression that he was doing better. Although, I've SEEN Spencer doing well, I hadn't seen Dwan do so well. Bummer. Well I hope the younger guys continue to get better or we don't have as much depth as we thought. Â I think the situation with the corners (injury for Rogers and set back for McGee) is a complication for determining the roster. May also impact whether the Bills feel they can keep Potter as a kick-off specialist. Â I'm rooting for Potter. He's done a bang-up job. Even though he finally had two return, they didn't make it to the 20. Meaning the avg start for the other team is BEHIND the 20. I'll take that all day. With a bonus of less injury risk!
5 Wide Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Ahh, Bills fans. Â Prior to season: Edwards shouldn't be in an NFL uniform After He's cut: KEY TO DEFENSE! SEASON OVER! Ahhh Bills fans.... making random false statements about reactions that didn't occur to make the fan base look silly.
gregkash Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Dwan wasn't doing anything that a minimum salary player can't do. Â I hope Easley makes it, I think he's better than Hagan.
WellDressed Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Â Thought there was a discussion last week that ended with a consensus that #81 is not PS eligible?? Â

WellDressed Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012   New discussion  http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/8/25/3267906/buffalo-bills-marcus-easley-practice-squad-eligibility  Excellent!! Thank You.
rstencel Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Yeah but there is almost no chance that Easley is on the bills practice squad if he is cut. I know he is on the radar of more than one team, and they will likely either try sign him to thier practice squad, or just sign him outright if he is release by Bills. Think he would rather go to a new team where he knows will have fresh shot than stay with a team that cut him honestly. My guess is he would be on Panthers PS if Bills do not keep him.
WellDressed Posted August 31, 2012 Posted August 31, 2012 Â Easley cut: Â @JeffRussoWKBW League source #Bills WR Marcus Easley among teams cuts. Â Â
Orton's Arm Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 From an article: Â ****** [Dwan] Edwards was credited with 109 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks in 27 games, including 24 starts with the Bills. ****** Â 3.5 sacks, eh? That seems like about the right number.
reddogblitz Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 No great loss on Dwan. The man is HUGE, but got pushed around like a rag doll.
NoSaint Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Probably mentioned in 3 other threads on cuts (I'd assume) - but dwan ended up in Carolina and will be a 43 DT still. Might be a starter.
MARCELL DAREUS POWER Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 he can still play, and get some push sometimes against inferior lineman, but alex is better now, bigger, and has more upside...
Captain Hindsight Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 I liked Dwan. Hope he does well there
