Mia Love was quite an impressive speaker

I heard her interviewed on the radio not too long ago and started following her, and she is incredibly bright, hard-working and a terrific speaker. Her speech was terrific last night, as was evidenced by finding out this morning that people went to her Wikipedia page to include references to her as a "dirty, worthless whore" and a "house nigggger."

To fuel their false "GOP is racist" argument, MSNBC conveniently cut every speech given by a minority from their RNC coverage tonight.

When popular Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz, the GOP nominee for Senate, took the stage, MSNBC cut away from the Republican National Convention and the Hispanic Republican from Texas’ speech.

MSNBC stayed on commercial through former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis’ speech, as well. Davis, who recently became a Republican, is black.

Then, when Puerto Rican Governor Luis Fortuno’s wife Luce’ Vela Fortuño took the stage minutes later, MSNBC hosts Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews opted to talk over the First Lady’s speech.

And Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval? Noticeably missing from MSNBC, too.

Mia Love, a black candidate for Congress in Utah, was also ignored by MSNBC.

MSNBC doesn't have the evidence to back up their claims that the GOP is racist, so what do they do? They manufacture it based on lies and false coverage.

So what you're saying is the RNC was like the NFL draft, MSNBC was like ESPN, and the minority conservative speakers were like the Bills?

You really gotta love the DNC. It's not enough they used DWS as a mouthpiece, but they've flown two airplane banners over the convention this week. The first one came after Romney's birth certificate joke, and said...literally..."America is better then birtherism." Typo blamed on pilot. Today they send out another plane, this time the message is...

I know it's easy to make fun of the Dems women stance re: Republicans but ... do you guys realize that it's far easier to make fun of the Republicans woman stance re: Republicans? It's not liberals fault the Republicans are so concerned with other people's sex lives, pregnancy, contraception etc...

Now I await a slew of "I'm not paying for Fluke and you kill babies and gay people threaten my marriage!" hehe...

Just saying last night's theme was that Obama said if you have a business you didn't build your business. Obama never said that of course, but fair game I suppose. So now you guys can't stand the idea that people don't like the ultra-conservative position the GOP takes on various issues that effect women? Get over it. They basically ask for this to be thrown in their face along w/ immigration stuff and so it is. Politics people.

Point of note: I think the whole contraception issue is that a good number of people DON'T want to be directly involved in it, to the point of having it government provided.

Lefties can say it till they are blue in the face that "Obama was taken out of context", and it's still not gonna change the fact that in context it was much worse than the snippet in question.

But you're forgetting:

Snippet: "That was taken out of context!"

Context: "TL;DR"

If you are successful there are a number of factors that play into that is much worse than you didn't build your business? Not that I want to actually have this tired conversation again but give me a break.

NB, I respect you, You know I do, but you have to let this one go. He flat out said it twice. Had he meant to say "others were involved in your success" or "it takes the whole community to grow our business" he could have just said that. He did not. Sorry, he has to get dinged for that, IMO.

But as you said, we shouldn't have to have this conversation again...

And I said fair game in the post above as you can see. I brought it up to point out people should stop complaining about the Democrats playing to the fact that Republicans go absolutely insane over strange personal issues like sex/abortion...instead of complaining about the other team hitting you for it when you sit around talking about socialist Obama why not just say "I wish we didn't pander to this crowd this is stupid"

While I'm certain this is a waste of time, here is what the true "in context" garbage was about. What you can't tell from reading this is the childish, snippy, condescending holier-than-thou attitude that business owners choke over: " I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there."

It is, unequivocally, the moment when Barack Obama said to the world, "I don't have even the slightest idea of what it takes to create a successful business. I am as stupid about the private sector as any single human can be about any one subject."

If you eliminate THAT single truth from his speech, as well as the more damning backup from Elizabeth Warren, I'm willing to bet no one pays attention to his comment that day. But no...he's just goddam stupid enough to actually say out loud that being smart and working hard have nothing to do with creating a successful business.

I believe his point was that he doesn't like insinuation that people who find themselves struggling are not hard workers and should just "work harder" and they'll become wealthy.

Your brush is pretty broad. Why do liberals go absolutely insane over strange personal issues like certificates saying it's ok to stick you dick up another man's butt?
