BuffaloBillsForever Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Vince Young @VinceYoung "I want to thank the Bills organization for the opportunity and wish the organization and my teammates good luck this season".
BuffBill Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Before Thiggy... I am still wondering why they brought PigPen back after seeing his play last season?
KD in CA Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I want to offer my condolences to joe-the-six-pack and the other true believers. I hope you guys get through this difficult period. Don't be afraid to seek counseling if you need it.

DukeyBomb Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah what's the point of stringing Pigpen along?
CarolinaBill Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 system IQ keeps Thigpen around for now, once Jackson settles in, Tyler will get the dreaded visit
QCity Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 8/27/12. I'll always remember where I was this day.
CodeMonkey Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Before Thiggy... Tavaris Jackson is a similar type of QB to VY (although hopefully much more skilled), so it makes perfect sense that VY would go immediately.
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Who was the dude that guaranteed Young would be starting by week 6? Not sure if you mean on this board....or in the media. Skip Bayless said we could 'book it.' http://dallas.sbnation.com/texas-longhorns/2012/5/11/3014650/vince-young-free-agent-rumors
GOBILLS78 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Tavaris Jackson is a similar type of QB to VY (although hopefully much more skilled), so it makes perfect sense that VY would go immediately. Jackson has always reminded me of Losman. Very mobile, strong-armed guys. Not great decision-makers, apparently.
Optometric Insight Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Who was the dude that guaranteed Young would be starting by week 6? On this board it was paintmyhouse. I guess he'll have to lean on Tavaris to knock Fitz out from now on.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 No surprise, given his horrible performance on Saturday and the acquisition of TJax. PigPen should be cut before Friday.
Bills!Win! Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 First we cut merriman and now Vince young? Whos next Mark Anderson? Why bother signing free agents If we just keep on cutting them?
zow2 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 It's the same thing with Lee Evans, Roscoe and now VY. If the Bills don't need you....the chances of remaning in the League are almost none. Oh, except if your name is Maybin.
CarolinaBill Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Jackson has always reminded me of Losman. Very mobile, strong-armed guys. Not great decision-makers, apparently. i agree, i've been saying that for years Tjax= JP losman's black twin.
KD in CA Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah what's the point of stringing Pigpen along? So he can help get Jackson up to speed. How does it help the team to cut him today?
Optometric Insight Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 First we cut merriman and now Vince young? Whos next Mark Anderson? Why bother signing free agents If we just keep on cutting them? That's like saying,"Why bother drafting late round picks when they are probably never going to start a game in their lives," or,"Lets not pick up any more players since they're all going to retire eventually." Plus Merriman was here for 3 years and got injured and Vince Young was only signed to a one year contract.
