Bills definitely need to draft a QB next year. If Fitz doesn't have a much improved season this year, then the Bills will have to draft 2 QB's, with 1 being in the first round.

I have more hope of taking fitz's brains and transplanting it into VY's body.

But I agree, If Fitz doesn't perform, I think Ralph will spend some coin on a QB, draft or FA, regardless of his cheapness scale. Smart guy but...

It has been proven that DF can win superbowls, Is ours good enough? I think they can be.

Williams seems to be a good word for the roster.

If this team isn't looking for at least 2 QBs after this game, then they don't have a clue.

Young is terrible and Thigpen wouldn't start at UB.

No chance unless Fitz plays a miracle season, which is unlikely.

Is there a team in the NFL that upon hiring a new GM and/or HC doesn't go acquire someone they see as a franchise QB? Picking a QB is what typically defines a GM and HC, and the Bills made their choice with FItz. Ultimately I think it'll go down as their worst decision.

Sorry but we suck on offense. The Steelers obliterated our defense. We cannot stop the pass

We got spanked. And VY is terrible. Anybody else is better than him

We keep saying that the defense is looking good, but I'm not comfortable giving up 14 points a half, as our offense doesn't look like it can keep that pace. I'm not confident in this year if this is a showing of a team that prepared like it was a regular season game.

BUT with lower expectations, comes better possibilities for being pleasantly surprised.

I try to remain optimistic after all of these years, but this looks like another 6-10 or 7-9 team.

I don't think Fitz is decent NFL starting QB and I am not sure that there is another NFL-caliber backup QB on the roster. They need to be scouring the waiver wire for a decent QB when cuts are made.

There is 1 NFL level starting WR on this roster and it is Stevie Johnson. Beyond him, David Nelson is OK, but the remainder shouldn't be in an NFL camp. I *think* maybe Naaman Roosevelt can play in this league as a 4th WR, but I am pretty sure that they will cut him because he doesn't fit their prototype of size at every position.

It hurts that the team looks to have gone 0-2010 in the draft. I have been a Spiller supporter up until now, but this guy just isn't a good NFL RB. He does have speed, but for as fast as he is, he is no threat in the passing game and is also fumble-prone.

For all of the hype that the defense has received, I am not sure that they are a top 1/2 of the league team.

Someone help me find a reason for optimism.

fred jackson: 7 carries/5 yards a carry/1 td.

he is what our offense is predicated on. running him, screens to him, which in turn opens up the short to intermediate passing game, which will in turn allow us to let graham run some fly routes and hopefully get iso once in a while and break something.

ball control ball control ball control. that's the name of the game with our running backs, and this defense, and the fact that were keeping a kickoff specialist only reinforces that - plus, most of our second half schedule is at home in bad weather, to further that point.

why why why WHY would we run THAT offense, in games that don't count? keep the running backs healthy, that's the name of the game this preseason.

if you think our season is going to revolve around fitz throwing for 400 yards a game, think again.

teams know were not running this preseason, teams are blitzing, our offense looks terrible, blah blah blah.

new england has looked: awful

the jets have looked: worse than awful

the dolphins have looked: the worst of all

its. the. preseason.

You just named my life mantra!

When the Bills played the Broncos in preseason last year, they looked like crap. When the Bills played the Broncos in the regular season, they beat the crap out of them. It's preseason.
