Luxy312 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 it was proposed that jets should trade tebow and shonn green to jville for mjd. would you do it? i would in a heartbeat. Jacksonville wouldn't do it. Lame idea!
NoSaint Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 it was proposed that jets should trade tebow and shonn green to jville for mjd. would you do it? i would in a heartbeat. So shonn green and a (what did tebow go for?) a fourth (?) for mjd? Great deal for the jets.
todzilla Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 If the Jets didn't make that move, their entire front office should be sacked. The Jags had a chance at Tebow and wouldn't offer a 3rd round pick for him, can't see them making this deal.
bonechiller Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Jags, won't go for that, not a chance. Gabbert would be ruined
nuklz2594 Posted August 23, 2012 Author Posted August 23, 2012 jets running game a la ground and pound could be formibable
Ramius Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Why would the jags trade 1 great RB for 2 mediocre RBs?
dwight in philly Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 what is about ESPN and the jets anyway?, i was sick of the ryan-jet worship two years ago, now, it is the same thing, jets, jets this, jets that.. obviously this year it is all about tebow, but on paper, the team is not anything special.
BuffBill Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 it was proposed that jets should trade tebow and shonn green to jville for mjd. would you do it? i would in a heartbeat. If I were the Jets - Yes If I were the Jags- No
l< j Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 ESPN trade idea? Yes, I would trade ESPN. For Nickelodeon, QVC, and a televangelist to be named later. kj
Mr. WEO Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Why would either team do it? With the awful Gabbert, the entire Jags crappy offense IS MJD--he carried 343 times last year! The Jets brought in Tebow because they are worried about Snachez. Why would they trade him away to swap RBs? Greene had over 1000 last year. He'll have more if they run him more--he had almost 100 fewer carries than MJD last year.
VanCity Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 MJD is gonna fetch a lot more than that. Shahid Khan is not messing around with MJD, as he shouldn't. Petulant millionaires meet their match when they come up against powerful billionaires. If he gets traded, they are gonna get more than Tebow and a bag of peanuts called Shonn Greene. I would say a second rounder and a current 2nd tier starting RB would get it done.
apuszczalowski Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 It works out for both cities. The jets would get a very good RB with an attitude similar to the rest of the team and should fit right into the ME Lockerroom they have The Jags get a "local" kid who can help them maybe one day remove the tarps from the upper deck and for atleast one season have the media stop thinking of new names for them when tehy move to LA plus they get a RB to replace MJD on the roster. I don't know if the Jets would do it though, they spent alot of time this offseason working on Tebows Wildcat offence. I would see the Jags more likely to do it though to get Tebow and get rid of a malcontent but I would assume they may want a pick or 2 also in the deal

djp14150 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Jags, won't go for that, not a chance. Gabbert would be ruined I agree...Gabbert after a full training camp has looked alot better. If he seems to be a bust this season then I could see such a deal happening.
K-9 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I would trade ESPN for a knitting show and a home shopping network to be named later. GO BILLS!!!
KD in CA Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 ESPN deepthroating the Jets again? Shocker. Yup. Might as well just refer to it as JESPN from now on.
apuszczalowski Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 What's changed in the past couple months to suddenly make the Jags desire Tebow? New Ownership settling in and giving the GM the ability to make moves?Who says they didn't try and make a move for him then and the Broncos decided they liked the Jets deal better?
Luxy312 Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 The Jets front office have already tweeted that they talked to Jacksonville about MJD but that the combination of what MJD would want in a new deal, along with what the Jaguars wanted in terms of players was far greater than they would consider.
