Doc Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I wouldn't give him a raise after 2 years if he plays well. That's what got them into trouble with Peters. And I think Gailey's assessment was spot-on. He was far from dominant, but showed promise and needs more PT. Freeney said that it takes several years for LT's to become good, and he's right.
3rdand12 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) He actually was projected as a possible first rounder. As a guard!! It just didnt fall that way thank goodness. So when we evaluate Mr Glenn keep in mind he played ONE season at LT in college. One. His senior year. Every game he improved ( i read about this many times pre draft ) but still much doubt ensued whether he could actually play Tackle at the NFL level. So far he appears to be holding his own, against a formidable defense or two. Plus he has been getting educated by some pretty good defensive ends in Kelsay, Anderson, Williams and i bet Merriman gave him pointers. His attitude is excellent. Lunch pail kid. Too early to call of course but i am putting most of my duckets on Cordy Glenn. He is in the right place at the right time witha great coach in Joe D. Go Bills and go Cordy! still love the Buddy and Chan quote after the pick. Something like " Hell no he's not a guard! thats what we wanted them to think though. " Well done guys, well done indeed. I can still see them smirking as if they just robbed the Brinks truck and were counting the cash. Edited August 21, 2012 by 3rdand12
