IDBillzFan Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) This isn't the same Democratic party we use to see, now the left is comprised of a bunch of leftist extremists. The Democratic Party is pro-life in its own way. "Look, we know you shouldn't be having any more babies, and we know you can't support another baby and God knows you don't know anything about raising babies, but the more you have, the more welfare money we'll give you. So let's get that little voter out of there in one piece, okay? Edited August 21, 2012 by LABillzFan
Gary M Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Pro-theft and Pro-murder. Ladies and gentlemen, your American Democratic Party!!! So you can euthanize your grandpa, but uncle Sam is going to take half of your inheritance.
Rob's House Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 This again? If--in fact--they have denounced him it's because a.) it was a bat **** stupid thing to say and marginalizes/cheapens/dismisses what is indisputably the most traumatic event of a rape victim's life. or b.) As I said last night, the GOP cannot get pulled into a turd-flinging contest over abortion because they will lose if social issues, and not the economy, is the focus. They know it. I know it. You know it. And Dems know it. If you want to take it a step further and suggest it's in the Dems interest to keep this at the surface, I would agree. I would also agree that it's a cheap, opportunistic pot shot [intentional] distraction...but, such is politics! This situation reminds me how stupid my fellow Americans are. Granted the comments were stupid, especially for a politician, and the guy should get out of the race for the good of everyone, but the consensus seems to blindly follow that the words somehow amount to the bolded assertion above, but I have yet to hear ANYONE explain how this guy somehow marginalized or was dismissive of the suffering of rape victims. I haven't followed this story closely so I'm hoping there's something I've missed that suddenly makes this outrage sensible & not the rantings of a bunch of morons trying to scream "I think rape is bad" the loudest, as though there's some large unknown contingency claiming it's really not that big of a deal. Anyone got anything?
birdog1960 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 <p> How is that the same as what Akin said?Seriously, you are one thick-headed moron. in politics, perception closely approximates reality. in this case, the reality is that ryan supported no exceptions. the platform apparently will say the same thing. are you really to dim to see where they can be picked apart on this? geez, i hope they are just as dim...
DC Tom Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I just saw bits and pieces on the internet. No context or anything (although I can't imagine a context that would justify that). I hate to see a primary winner bow out and someone who didn't get the vote, on the ballot. The context was brilliant. Just hearing the sound bytes, you lose the over-the-top incoherence of his complete statement. He made absolutely no sense whatsoever. in politics, perception closely approximates reality. And we perceive you as a !@#$ing idiot.
birdog1960 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 And we perceive you as a !@#$ing idiot. man,i'm hurt This situation reminds me how stupid my fellow Americans are. Anyone got anything? ya mean asserting that they can will the unsuccessful fertilization and implantation of an embryo created by a rapists sperm isn't marginalizing their suffering? oh i get it
TakeYouToTasker Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Ya know, if these "victims" would simply demonstrate the class and assertiveness of a rapist and quietly go about taking what they want without asking this entire debate could have been avoided with the use of a shopvac and some Jack Daniels in the privacy of their own garage.
DC Tom Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 ya mean asserting that they can will the unsuccessful fertilization and implantation of an embryo created by a rapists sperm isn't marginalizing their suffering? oh i get it I still think it's too retarded to marginalize anything but common sense.

TakeYouToTasker Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) and you and people like you want to run the country?... you've got way too much class to be playing round here. why don't you run along and play with the perverts looking at some child porn site? Mostly because I'm into the older ladies. You know, like your wife. With that said, it's more than just a bit too late to claim the moral high ground after beginning this whole farce by suggesting I mutilate my own genitals with a steak knife. Before or after he burns to death in a fiery car accident? Check it out! I've got my very own meme! Edited August 21, 2012 by TakeYouToTasker
Fan in San Diego Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Is killing unborn babies the sign of advanced civilization? I see it this way. It's the woman's womb, it's her choice to make what is right for her or what is not right for her. We need to stay out of that decision nor do I believe we have any right to interfer in her personal decision. That is between her and her doctor.

Chef Jim Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 I see it this way. It's the woman's womb, it's her choice to make what is right for her or what is not right for her. We need to stay out of that decision nor do I believe we have any right to interfer in her personal decision. That is between her and her doctor. So it's all about her? Has nothing to do with the father or the child (or future child if you may). She just woke up one day, peed in a cup and found out she was pregnant. If she never intended to have kids why did she not take precautions of birth control or the ultimate precaution and became celebate?
DC Tom Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 and you and people like you want to run the country?... you've got way too much class to be playing round here. why don't you run along and play with the perverts looking at some child porn site? But "bathroom vasectomy with an x-acto knife"...that was upscale. Kicking you off this board would raise the level of discourse to merely offensive.
