Cynical Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 I read this was to cut down on the catering bill at local events Ralph's cheap.
Toshiero Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Good. Now if Nix will cut his other mistakes...
FutureBillsGM Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 No point in wasting reps on a guy they know will not make the roster. Yes, but it is camp. You need "camp fodder" just to give the other guys a break every now and then. Seems like a move is coming. I don't expect anything big but pobably bringing in a young guy at another position that may be needed more.
Sisyphean Bills Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Hopefully it's a reverse of the trend prior to Nix taking over as GM, where our 6th and 7th rounders, plus the UDFA's panned out, and our top draft picks were terrible. I was going to say the same thing. Better a 7th round flyer than a 1st rounder.
Optometric Insight Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Maybe the Bills are planning on making a move?
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Too bad. And specifically to PTR, sorry for the news.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 No point in wasting reps on a guy they know will not make the roster. Nail on head is hit.....
Punch Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 We may be down to Moats and Spiller from that abysmal draft, come opening day... Jasper was drafted in 2011 not 2010.
eball Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Mike "Mount" Jasper, we hardly knew ye. The kid defied the odds for longer than most would have expected. Best of luck to the big guy.
mountainwampus Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 He played with more intensity than any other back-up OL in the preseason game. He was playing like a man possessed. Most of Vince Youngs best runs were set up by key blocks by Jasper. I don't get it. Asper and Williams looked overpowered. Jasper was immovable.
FluffHead Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 (edited) i was power cleaning 400 with one hand and re-tweeting with the other when i found out mike jasper was cut Edited August 13, 2012 by FluffHead
Jerry Jabber Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 From what I've been reading from camp, Asper is constantly getting yelled at by the O-line coach, and doesn't look good so far. Was Jasper doing worse than him?
PromoTheRobot Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Too bad. And specifically to PTR, sorry for the news. I got sick and had to miss the Skins game when I was going to visit with Mike. Just sent him a quick note of condolence. Hope he hooks up elsewhere, even with the Pats. PTR
Bruce Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Sitting at my computer...looking for kleenex to wipe away my tears that we won't have the reincarnation of The Fridge, after all...
Just in Atlanta Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Also feel bad. Guy has a great attitude, and seemed to work hard. Have to somewhat disagree with the one poster, though--Jasper looked lost last game on the plays I noticed, which, admittedly, were not all of them. Hope he finds a home in the NFL.
Optometric Insight Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 On the bus, talking to two people while trying to eat behind the seat in front of me. I still have Cheetos dust on my phone...
