The Civil War of 2016

Recommended Posts

A some what bizzare read here about the tea party extremists seizing control of a South Carolina town. I know the article is fictional but has it really come to this? The tea party does try and make some good points about some things but they sort of remind me of the teenage kid born with a silver spoon in his mouth that shows up at the local park to play basketball with the top of the line leather basketball that everyone wants to use in a pick up game and when the teenage kid doesn't get his way or his team loses and he has to sit out a game he takes the ball and goes home all pouty faced.

Heh....if the TEA party was going to do anything....they'd do something like what the original guys did....not take over a town....how about take over a server or 2? How about take over social media? Not by hacking, but by running a very efficient "instant response" to....crap....like you posted here.

The "writers" of that "paper" don't understand the TEA party at all. Feel free to use the search function, because I've already extensively covered the reasons why they can't understand. It's not just that "progessives" are inferior to the TEA party in terms of intelligence, although that doesn't help. No: the main reason they don't get it...is that it's a new idea. They are trying to map their, old, tired way of thinking onto it, and that just doesn't work.

The TEA party is better at life in general than the people they are competing against. Therefore, they have 0 reason "to take their ball and go home". Rather, they will simply dunk on them, over and over. Keep moving off the ball, and setting those hard screens to set up the easy, open shot: "you don't get to call failure...change....and class warfare...hope".

If anybody will be running home crying...it's the Public Worker's unions, the college professors, and the "just give it to me" people.(Edit: am I talking about welfare...or trial lawyers...you figure it out) You know, Obama's base.

I always laugh when I hear pathetic attempts at analyzing the TEA party by liberals. They don't know what they don't know about the TEA party...so it's always going to be a wonderful source of hilarity.

Like this post. But, hey, there's hope for you. At least you recognized the problem: bad premises about the TEA party make for bizarre conclusions...don't they? The next step is to start analyzing your premises. I'll leave you to it.

A some what bizarre movie here about the aggressive nature of the Soviet Union/Cuban/Nicaraguan extremists seizing control of a Colorado town. I know the movie is fictional but has it really come to this? A bunch of European nations withdrawing from Nato, and frequent foreshadowing references to a Marvel Comics mutant with blades that come out of his knuckles does try and make some good points about some things but they sort of remind me of the lazy, leaderless black kid from a broken family who shows up at a union gathering to harass local businesses by threatening to take them over with paratroopers before the football team suddenly fights back and the bad guys all go home all pouty faced.

So your take away from an article in a US Military journal written by a colonel about the need for our soldiers to shoot and kill American citizens on American soil is that the TEA Party is bad? Edited by TakeYouToTasker

I wish they would just all move to South Carolina, proclaim a limited government republic with the gold standard, seceed from the union and see how well they get on without a strong government regulating their lives. Guns, God and Gold! They can call the new country dumb!@#$astan

You have a better chance that Texas could do something like that.

Let me drop some knowledge on you junior. The tea party are the ADULTS taking back this country from the adolescent, "my sweet 16", spend now screw the younger generations behavior of Obama, the dems and rino repubs in washington.

One of the very few positives of Obama is that his socialist agenda single-handedly created the tea party just in time to save this country from the fates which are befalling the adolescent, "my sweet 16", spend now screw the younger generations Greece and California.

This fantasy world of liberals is truly mind-blowing. I wonder if they'll all go insane when the leader of their cult loses this election.

You clearly don't get the tea party. You just take the crap you see on msnbc or the daily show as fact.

The tea party does not care about religion. It's not about that.

OC- you make a good point, but always remember that a group is defined by the whackos in it, no matter how few or how many there are. That sure is a sad statement, but the idiots tend to get the most attention and blot out any positive message.

Or the Puritans. I really wish the KKK Tea Party would set up its own republica of chitholeland and have all the Conservatives go there. No one would want to pay taxes for new sewars, but hey, Freedumb isn't free

Y'know, there's a lot of discussion today about how and why certain people go farther, earn more, etc. than others, and while there are a number of different theories for it, in the end, a lot of it comes down to this: some people can and will always happily do what they can and must to exist on their own and build a successful life with the blessings they have been offered on this great land, and the rest of you can't do crap without relying on some government entity to coddle your tit-sucking entitlement laziness.

No. The article was written about tea party extremists and the need for soilders to shoot American citizens. While reading it my first thought was has it really come to this. I said the tea party makes some good points. I don't agree with all their ideas. I give them credit for being well organized and trying to inject their thoughts into the political debate. They do seem to be more on the side of we get all our ideas or nothing. Some of the politicians that are representing the tea party seem to be a little pouty faced when they dont get their way. That accomplshes very little in my opinion.

The problem is when the other team gets to pick the Ref & the Ref changes the rules during the game.

Yeah. Maybe then they'll learn the hard way like Hong Kong did. Oh wait...

I know the Brits had a 99 year lease on the place but I don't know all the details.

China, after it's socialist revolution, fumbled with a pricing mechanism the same way the Soviet Union did, which led to terrible shortages and massive overstocks. British rule of Hong Kong was never challenged because it silently allowed China to set prices comparable to real market prices without having to admit the failures of the system they implemented.

The problem is when the other team gets to pick the Ref & the Ref changes the rules during the game.

Ahh, but therin lies the beauty of the TEA party design.

Perhaps the best way to think of it:

An organization whose design and ideology is decentalized...is a concept that is intellectually untenable...for those who can only conceive of top-down, "all policy must be accepted as written", centralization.

As all rules/ref changes will be based on that centralized thinking....they simply cannot affect the TEA party as intended.

The other TEA party design point: some can denigrate Paul Ryan on old media, and try to scare seniors with him. But, apparently these people aren't aware of how many seniors are in the TEA party! Think about it: what the hell else do these guys have to do all day? :D Does anybody realize how many emails these bastards send out? Go create a sock puppet, sign up, and see for yourself.

And this is borne out by the latest polls: 43% of seniors like Paul Ryan, with only 22% not liking him. That's nearly double. The rest don't know him. With that much of a head start....good luck trying to tell me that seniors hate Paul Ryan.

The TEA party isn't a homogenous group, like "latinos", or "teachers". Seniors are in there in full force, but so are 20-somethings. Again, old thinking being applied to the TEA party = FAIL. It isn't a self-interest or identity-based special interest. Rather, it's a genuine, SELFLESS movement based on shared vision.

"All of us, together"...has destroyed "us vs. them" and "what's in it for me?"...in every election the TEA party has worked but 2. That's around a 200-2 record. Except for a very few members(1 that I know of), the TEA party personally and collectively accepts the blame for not winning the Senate. They have learned that they need to get into races a lot earlier to make sure they know who they are supporting. But again, they accept the blame, will learn from it, and won't make them again. Can you say the same about "progressives"? No. You can say the exact opposite: when they lose...it's everybody else's fault, and therefore, they learn nothing.

That's why the TEA party wins, and that's why none of the nonsense(racist, hateful, violent, cynical) BS charges have stuck: the TEA party is positive, and inclusive.

Those that oppose it, especially given how they have CHOSEN to do so, have defined themselves as derisive, and divisive. And really? That's exactly what they F'ing are.
