tennesseeboy
Outta rehab and declaring for the draft. He'll get an agent and have one of those "conversions" and be a first round pick. He'll probably even be a top ten pick.
Astrobot
Before the suspension and rehab I had TM at 21: Matt Barkley Star Lotulelei Robert Woods Sam Montgomery Tyler Wilson Barkevious Mingo Jarvis Jones Keenan Allen David Amerson Justin Gilbert (Jr.) Johnathan Hankins Justin Hunter Jackson Jeffcoat Eric Reid Xavier Rhodes Logan Thomas Marcus Lattimore Chris Faulk Andre Ellington Barrett Jones Tyrann Mathieu  Now DraftTek Top 100 doesn't include the Honey Bad. inkman
Yeah, because everybody plays at their 19yr old weight 8 years into their NFL career... His size isn't his biggest detraction, it's his cover ability. He has a weird knack for stripping the ball, recovering it, then using his athletic ability to make something happen but draft experts don't think he's an NFL CB. Maybe FS, but how high do you want to draft one?
NoSaint
Â Â The size part doesn't scare me too much because corners have traditionally been a bit on the shorter side. McGee is only 5'9" too. Â I don't know how big Finnegan is, but that's who he reminds me of. Tough, physical guy not afraid to get into guys faces. Â finnegan has atleast 20lbs on honey badger. thats a big deal. Â tyranns listed weight is 175, and from what i hear that is on the generous side.

The size argument doesn't hold weight w/ me because he's such a young guy.
NoSaint
Â Â Yeah, because everybody plays at their 19yr old weight 8 years into their NFL career... Â The size argument doesn't hold weight w/ me because he's such a young guy. Â hes definitely not an "island" type of coverage guy. hes a risk taker that makes the highlight plays. Â thats not to say hes a disaster in coverage, but hes not someone thats going to be considered a lock down corner.
FleaMoulds80
Yeah, because everybody plays at their 19yr old weight 8 years into their NFL career... Â WTF are you talking about? First of all he's 20. He was heading into his Junior year at LSU, so he should weigh more. Patrick Peterson is only 2 years older and outweighs him by almost 40 lbs. There are FRESHMAN on the LSU roster that weigh about 175-180 at CB. Most of their junior and senior CBs weigh about 185-190. So I don't know what you're talking about. As a Junior, he weighs as much as every Freshman in the secondary. Just looking through their roster, they have a Freshman CB Jalen Mills who is 185 lbs as a freshman. Jalen Collins is a 195 lb Freshman at CB. Tharold Simon is a JUNIOR CB and he weighs 193 lbs. Â So your theory about age and weight has been debunked. I don't care how old he is. He needs to bulk up. Â As for Tyrann, he's a 20yr old guy and Finnegan is 28, I just think he'll naturally fill out and make up the weight. Â I'm just making the comparison of their nastiness. Weight wasn't something I figured on debating.

Weight is a major factor as to why he's not a top 10 pick and more of a late first round pick.

I never alluded to them. Â You seem to make every comment/argument personal so I'm not going to debate you on a person's weight. You should probably relax. I don't know what theory I have perpetuated but I'm glad you have had something to "debunk."

I am sure he will make up some of the weight, but its a pretty big gap still. its one thing to be a scrapper, but he will have to bump up from chihuahua to something that will hold up to a 16+ game beating. theres undersized (guys like finnegan) and then theres guys that are undersized for being categorized as undersized (TyM). he will have to stock up some and hopefully hold his speed. Â he sure is fun to watch though, and i wish him the best. i just dont think his frame and coverage skills (not even mentioning baggage) put him in the top 5-10 picks ever. could still be a player but i dont think hes top 5, prototype cb, material. If you're not going to back yourself up, don't say anything at all. You just don't care now because I proved you wrong. You brought up the whole age/weight argument. So you brought it up. You compared Finnegan to being 28 and Tyrann to being 20.

NoSaint
arrested for smoking weed in a big college town? wow.  A) very common B) arrested for ruining a national championship season while happening to carry weed, if I had to guess  Kids dumb. Trouble follows him and he's running thin on free passes. Being with Jordan Jefferson being an prime example of this poor judgement.  http://www.wwltv.com/sports/college/Report-Jordan-Jefferson-Tyrann-Mathieu-two-other-ex-Tigers-arrested-175873711.html Edited October 26, 2012 by NoSaint
