Rob's House
Fixed for you. I'm not sure how our society becoming so shallow that it favors platitudes, sound bites, & MTV style hype rather than substance in our national leadership is a knock on Romney. truth on hold
If you believe the polls are truly getting a representative sample, which they usually aren't, the undecideds will be the ones to break the statistical dead heat. And in every election save one (Bush in 2004, when the country was doing much better than it is now), the undecideds go against the incumbent. Hot off the presses, it's trending more negative for Mitt. August 9, 2012 By Carolyn Kaster, Charles Dharapak, AP Another poll, another lead for President Obama. A CNN/ORC International survey puts the incumbent president ahead of challenger Mitt Romney, 52% to 45%. " Mitt Romney's unfavorable rating is up, most Americans think the Republican presidential challenger favors the rich, and the public no longer believes that the economy will get better if Romney is elected," CNN reported. CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said, "among independent voters, the poll indicates President Obama has a 53%-42% lead -- The president holds a nine point advantage among women voters and a smaller six point edge among men." Several recent polls have given an edge to Obama. While Romney's favorable rating has remained steady (47% now compared to 48% in July), his unfavorable rating has jumped from 42% last month to 48% now. The president's 56%-42% favorable-unfavorable rating now is little changed. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/theoval/post/2012/08/cnn-poll-obama-52-romney-45/1#.UCQwZYlhic0

WorldTraveller
I would say that the polling numbers had moved slightly in Obamas favor over the past few weeks and that ROmneys unfavorables have risen some. Having said that, the two daily trackers Gallup and Rasmussen are virtually unchanged and that the CNN and Reuters polling is pretty consistent with where it has been over the past few months, giving Obama larger leads than most other polling. CNN, Reuters and Pew Polling have consistently given considerably larger leads than the rest of them.

Taro T
How on earth can 56% of Americans view Obama favorably. HE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING!!! What, you think they give people the Nobel Peace Prize for nothing?!?! He must have done SOMETHING those 1st couple of days in office to earn the nomination for a major award. And then, to win the award less than 10 months after taking office, he HAD to have done SOMETHING. They are very serious people, the Nobel Committee, they don't just make **** up. Not that he didnt bring a lot on himself though. One can just see the desperation oozing out of every sentence of yours joey. Anyone familiar with the situation knows that Rush and Ann Coulter were criticizing how a Romney spokesperson answered a question. In your attempt to grasp at anything, you mis-characterize this as "turning on" Romney..............well if it helps you to believe that.
