/dev/null Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 King Richard: Brother, you have surrounded your given name with a foul stench! From this day forth, all the toilets in the kingdom shall be known as...Johns! -Robin Hood, Men in Tights
Max Fischer Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I also trace my direct lineage back to King John. Actually I'm a direct descendent of all the English rulers up to Edward II, then splits off to other royalty up thru Sir John Savage who commanded Henry Tudor's left Wing when they defeated Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth. Cool stuff but, as you can see, there must be hundreds of thousands who could claim the same, including my cousins Reagan, Clinton, Bush and Obama.
Kevin Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) We didn't win that. I see what you did there... Viva la France Edited August 6, 2012 by Kevin
BuffaloBill Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 So, some how i I feel we may all be related? So no forks in the family tree?
Beerball Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 So no forks in the family tree? A bigger family tree & the more branches it contains necessarily equals lots of forking.
Marv's Neighbor Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 The surrender at Yorktown said we won, and that's good enough for me. The British Military played the song "The World turned upside down." If they only knew!
EndZoneCrew Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Martin Van Buren is the only non Royal descendent. I knew those Van Buren Boys were good dudes!
