FluffHead Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) the bills tweeted out this current depth chart, "as approved by Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt" Im sure much will change in the coming weeks, but interesting nonetheless http://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart.html Edited August 4, 2012 by FluffHead
Rico Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Marcus Easley - Other.... well, I guess at least he's ahead of Clowney.
Coach Tuesday Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Interesting. Easey needs to step up - losing out to Ruvell Martin would be sad. Troup and Carrington are solidly on the bubble. Looks like Sanders will end up on the PS. Granted it's all very early...
AC4 IN ATL Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I'll be very surprised and frustrated if Tyler Thigpen is still our #2 QB. Vince better start sleeping with the playbook.
Rico Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Has Merriman really been lining up at LDE and not RDE? That surprises me.
FluffHead Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 Has Merriman really been lining up at LDE and not RDE? That surprises me. He's been in both spots, as has Kelsay
Billshank Redemption Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Not to say Im more of an expert then the staff, but what is it they exactly see in jones? What has he remotely done to warrant the #2 jobs. Also I know martin is good on special teams, but if easley really is healthy there is no way in hell I would like to see him cut.
jahnyc Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I would think that Troup and Carrington are in some danger of being cut.
shoretalk Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 the bills tweeted out this current depth chart, "as approved by Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt" Im sure much will change in the coming weeks, but interesting nonetheless http://www.buffalobills.com/team/depth-chart.html Clearly a depth chart posted before the very first preseason game does not carry a lot of meaning but regarding the wideouts is it possible that this is a motivator for Easley? Sadly (Because I thought he was going to really be a good wide-out before his injury and heart issues), I have been predicting that Easley would be a cut this preseason. It is very difficult for anyone to sit out two seasons of football at any level and then return to the field to truly compete with other skilled players who have been playing. I cannot think of anyone in recent history who missed two full seasons and never actually played in an NFL game who made it back for his third season. He may need some arena or CFL time before he can compete for an NFL job but there's still time. I cannot see Martin making the team. Tank and Bradham's ST skills more than make up for any loss we'd take by waiving Martin. It will also be interesting to watch what happens with the DB's. Will Prince Miller stick relegating Brooks to the PS? Leodis keeps slipping but will his return game skills keep him on the roster. But looking through this roster really makes me want to see the season start!! GO BILLS
John Cocktosten Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I don't remember reading anything about Bryan Scott being switched to LB full time. Troupe is a gone. Awful pick. Sam Young was a turnstile at ND. Hopefully Sanders steps it up. McKillop will make this team!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Are we seriously going to start Kirk Morrison at OLB? He looked horrendous last year. Also, looking at the safety depth it is no wonder Nix is looking to get some help.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 VY #3 QB. Paintmyhouse's head will explode. PTR
PromoTheRobot Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Ruvell Martin as the 3rd WR? ST gunner. PTR
Mike in Syracuse Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I think a rotation of Williams/Merriman & Anderson/Kelsay makes a lot of sense. I'm a bit surprised that Tank Carder is still in 3rd. That said, we've yet to play a preseason game.
John Cocktosten Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Are we seriously going to start Kirk Morrison at OLB? He looked horrendous last year. I couldn't agree more. If he does start the year he will be surpassed quickly. Plus, the Bills will be playing with extra DB's 60-70A% of the time.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 1344110295[/url]' post='2521216']I don't remember reading anything about Bryan Scott being switched to LB full time. Yeah, the team made that public before OTAs even started, although he will strictly be used in the nickel and dime packages, and not in the base 4-3. Morrison goes out, and sometimes Sheppard, too, and Scott comes in and/or the nickel CB.

When Buddy didn't mention him I figured as much. Good to have versatility.
