BillsFan-4-Ever Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 You mean the base that Dems have pandered to for over a generation, by saying they're too stupid to help themselves without government intervention? Shocking. Answer this - who do you believe commits Voter Fraud? A) Democrats B) Republicans C) Both ------------ D) Whites E) Blacks F) Asians G) Hispanic
IDBillzFan Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 An anti-Obama judge in Texas has just predicted civil war if he's re-elected. A GOP candidate in Missouri says if it's REALLY rape, the woman won't get pregnant. And that's just this week. THESE are the views of the right that you all think is so much better? No wonder everyone laughs at Buffalo. Hey...speaking of rape, do you know what day Bill Clinton is speaking at the DNC?
GG Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Answer this - who do you believe commits Voter Fraud? A) Democrats B) Republicans C) Both ------------ D) Whites E) Blacks F) Asians G) Hispanic Based on recent cases, there have been more instances of questionable voting rolls for Democratics candidates - whether it's the usual Chicago machine or Franken's Senate election. As D,E,F,G that's the wrong way to look at it, as no one is arguing that a specific demographic engages in voter fraud, but that not having an ID requirement makes it that much easier for a party to conduct fraud. But, I'm sure a bright progressive like yourself understands that.
DC Tom Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 A GOP candidate in Missouri says if it's REALLY rape, the woman won't get pregnant. Just curious...do you think that the fact that almost the entire GOP has told this candidate to shut the !@#$ up and drop out of the race says anything about well that knucklehead represents the GOP?

You're asking this of the Sandra Fluke of PPP posters?

Tom, I hear on good authority (in the Akin thread) that even though pretty much every Republican has condemned his asinine statements........................................................................ (Shhhh, they ALL secretly think that way) lol .
WorldTraveller Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 The way I see it, with the pick of Ryan, if Romney wins, there will be a mandate to reform the entitlements, undo burdensome regulations, open up more land for drilling and lower corporate tax rates. If Obama wins, the mandate will be to make abortions legal. Wait.... What?
/dev/null Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 If Obama wins, the mandate will be to make abortions legal. Wait.... What? Abortions for some Tiny American flags for others
WorldTraveller Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 So there was a poll that was recently commissioned by Nytimes/Quinnipiac and it showed Obama up 6 in Ohio. So naturally, I looked in the internals and I saw that there was a D + 8 voter registration. So I looked up the state wide voter registration make up of Ohio and as of 2010 it was R + 1 So that is a discrepancy of + 9 Then I read an article from Nate Silver. He had noticed that the swing polls had tightened up, and was a bit miffed how he believed that they were oversampling Republicans. Really? Really???
WorldTraveller Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I just checked out RCP The national race and all the battlegrounds have all dramatically tightened over the past 2 weeks. The big MO is on the conservative side.

fjl2nd Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 CNN/ORC Poll today using likely voters for first time has Obama 49-47.

fjl2nd Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I was reading a couple different articles on the polling and the election. They were pointing out how this election could be a historical first. All economic indicators should point to an easy win for Mitt Romney. But, looking at some polls - it looks he doesn't stand a chance. The projection by the prediction markets are still 303-235 for Obama. Is Mitt Romney really that unlikable? Is there still time for him to close the gap? Ohio seems to be headed in the wrong direction for him. Florida is still a dead heat. Virginia is somehow still in Obama's favor. Going to an interesting finish to this thing.
