Koko78 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 He's not a socialist on his own. Somebody else made that happen. Bush did it. I wonder if that's true in law. I'm suddenly realizing I've been busting my ass (kind of) for nothing. There are firms that are more interested in hiring someone because of their school's name and/or class rank than their ability to actually practice law.
DC Tom Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 You've been having a lot of fun with this I'm not having any fun. Somebody else is making it happen...

Ding, ding, ding---"and we have a winner, folks!", particularly big firms. In a bad economy they use school as a proxy for competence.....

DC Tom Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 The connection's part's a given.... The connections are what they use to get into the law schools to begin with, that get them into the law firms.
