Only 11 states—California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey—had more people in them than the number of workers on the federal disability insurance rolls in July.

Doc Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Maybe that's the first of the 51-57 states Barry was talking about?
/dev/null Posted July 23, 2012 Author Posted July 23, 2012 Virginia, the twelfth most-populous state, had 8,096,604 people in 2011, according to the latest Census Bureau estimate. That would make Virginia’s population about 657,331 less than the number of workers who took federal disability insurance payments in July. Let's put this into perspective that even Dave can understand There are 657k more people on Disability in the US than there are in the state of Virginia. In order to Virginia to pass that number, it would have to add the population comparabile to the combined populations of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, largest and third largest in the state.
Nanker Posted July 23, 2012 Posted July 23, 2012 Or the entire population of the state of Virginia PLUS all the people in Buffalo, 261,310 and Rochester, 210,565, and Syracuse, 145,170, and Rome, 33,725 and you still haven't equalled the number of people on disability.
