Mark Vader Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 The colors are god awful, but I've always liked the logo. I wish they'd just leave it alone. I have no problem with the logo either. Now if they want to change it back to their original dolhin logo, that's fine. I like that more than the cartoon dolphin they have now. I just don,t know what drastic changes they could do with it now. Dolphins can't wear helmets. That alone makes it the stupidest logo in the league. Oh come on, it's creative. You could also say that red streaks don't fly out of Bison horns.
Guffalo Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I thought they would make it more tuned into the history of the franchise and show some highlights of their triumphs
reddogblitz Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I have always thought it was odd that the fish in the logo is wearing a Miami of Ohio helmet. For a long time I thought that on the helmet was a fish with a helmet ... Then a fellow Bills fan pointed out to me it was an M! LOL
Bud Adams Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 PFT story Any other ideas for them? I think they should change their "fight song" first: http://youtu.be/4BHVP3Ltia8
shrader Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 So you're telling me that they aren't talking about the logo on the helmets that the players are wearing, they're talking about changing the logo that the Dolphin is wearing? It sounds like a modernization of the logo in general. The sentence that mentions the M on the helmet is just a description of what the team currently wears.
Van_phelaN1 Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I'd be a fan...for five, ten minutes tops. If I wasn't at work, I might be a fan right now! Then after the shame set it, I would be back.
Astrobot Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) New Dolphins Logo I think it's not going to boost sales. Edited July 13, 2012 by Astrobot
todd Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 They shouldn't do it. There would be a huge protest because it is the only NFL logo that aptly represents the LGBT community.
dpberr Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 As a fan of the retro logos, if they *have* to change, they should consider the Miami Seahawks logos and colors. They were Miami's first professional sports franchise.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 They should just use eball's avatar for the next decade. YES! YES! YES!
BobDVA Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 It matters not, what ever they do, I will dislike them still....
mrags Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I'd be a fan...for five, ten minutes tops. I was just about to say I could last being a fan for about 30-40 seconds.
vincec Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 The logo is awful, but there is so much history behind it that I would be a shame to see it go. Still, the logo is awful...
Heitz Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Looks like this guy designed what they're talking about: http://www.shanelk.com/post/21090847056/new-miami-dolphins-logo That Dolphins Stadium logo is AWFUL...
Optometric Insight Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Looks like this guy designed what they're talking about: http://www.shanelk.com/post/21090847056/new-miami-dolphins-logo That Dolphins Stadium logo is AWFUL... It’s time to leave the goofy anthropomorphic helmet-wearing saturday morning cartoon dolphin logo behind Goofy? That thing looks absolutely awful and silly. A dolphin is two colors not 4 and it looks like it's bottom half is missing with the bottom fin being a solar flare. Looks like something you would see as an airplane company logo.
BRAWNDO Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Have you guys read the recent reports that Tannehill isn't even going to compete for the starting job? He's so overwhelmed he's not even in the discussion and it will be Moore or Garrard on opening day. Even funnier is the spin coming out of S. Florida that they never expected him to win the job, and hope he will be in a position to contribute by year's end. How would he have handled our playbook then?
San Jose Bills Fan Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 Have you guys read the recent reports that Tannehill isn't even going to compete for the starting job? Florida that they never expected him to win the job, and hope he will be in a position to contribute by year's end. How would he have handled our playbook then? The irony is that Tannehill's OC in Miami is his former college coach, Mike Sherman… and that they're supposedly running the same offense he ran at A&M.
