Nanker Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Another Hollywood Legend gone. He was fantastic in "From Here To Eternity". Quite a guy and onscreen personality. They don't make 'em like they used to anymore. RIP big guy!

bbb Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 He was in made for TV movie about Vince Lombardi in the mid 70s or so. He was meant to play Lombardi!
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 That is a hard role (VL) to fill! I can see, he sorta had the VL look.
bbb Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 That is a hard role (VL) to fill! I can see, he sorta had the VL look. I can't find a picture from the movie, but he had the same gap teeth and looked just like him in the movie. I found it on imdb - Legend in Granite (1973). It says it was 48 minutes long! That's got to be wrong. I remember watching that a full night. But, I also remember my father complaining about all the commercials!
biglukes Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 I don't know why but the first thing I always think of when I hear his name is that he's Mermaidman in Spongebob. There must be something wrong with me.

#34fan Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Powerehouse actor. Right up there with McQueen, Marvin, and Peppard. LOVE all of his T.V. and movies. Truly the last of his kind.
biglukes Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Well, you have some a picture of some homoerotic superhero as your avatar. Don't disrespect Greenman. Besides he's less of a homoerotic superhero and more of a drunk, illiterate, janitor at a bar. Either way I take it you don't watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or you would have gotten it.

biglukes Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 LOL - no, I don't but I have heard it's an excellent show! You've heard correctly. It's a phenomenal show. If you get the chance, definitely check it out.
ajzepp Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 What the hell? I just saw him on an interview with Bill O'Reilly and he looked great...must have been a re-broadcast or something. RIP, Mr Borgnine!
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Sunny in Philly is hysterical... I catch a few on reruns... Danny DeVito is a master... I like the one from a few years ago during the housing bust: "Flip the house! Flip the house!"
Chef Jim Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Snake Pluskin, I heard you were dead. Ensign Parker: RIP Skip.
