BRAWNDO
A North Carolina Lawmaker voted to approve an override a vote of fracking for the state, casting the deciding vote. Unfortunately she pressed the wrong button, as she did not want to override the veto. JT what is the feeling in the State of North Carolina after this debacle? Fezmid
I rolled my eyes at this part: "A change in Carney’s vote would have changed the outcome, which is against the House rules. But Ms. Carney asked for the rules to be suspended so she could change her vote, but got nowhere." Yeah, there's rules, but they shouldn't apply to me because I made a mistake and I'm a special snowflake!
Marv's Neighbor
Everyone knows that the money you pay into Social Security (FICA) is taxed. Since that's true, your retirement benefits were not taxed, because you already paid once. That was changed by President Clinton, BUT it was a tie vote in the Senate, and good old "Global Warming" Al Gore cast the tie breaking vote, to make the double taxation a law. Another example of one vote making a difference.
