I hope it's sufficiently different than the Schwartzenegger film. I can't stand these remakes that are basically the same film re-made 20 years later (e.g. Footloose)

No Mars? A lot of the film seems the same even with chief bad guy saying he wants to keep Recaller alive. At least they kept 3 hands part. :)

I think I am more curious than excited. Hollywood has a long tradition of not being able to make a decent Philip K Dick adaptation. Outside of Blade Runner they have all been pretty rough. I hear this one sticks closer to the text, hopefully that's a good sign.

This looks excellent. I was a big fan of the original and I'm a sucker for atmospheric sci fi's like Bladerunner and Alien to some extent.Ferrel was also in a nice 80s remake last summer that went largely unnoticed. Fright Night
