KD in CA Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 At a Hollywood production meeting several months ago: Guy 1: Hey, Moneyball was a hit. Let's do the same thing with another sport. How about football? Guy 2: Are there any NFL GMs with a feel-good, riches to rags to riches true story like Billy Bean? Guy 1: I don't think so. Guy 2: Are we going to get one of the 3 biggest movie starts on the planet to play the lead? Guy 1: I don't think so. Guy 2: I'm sold. Let's do it!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Jokes on them. By the time this movie comes out we'll be good again.
bills1960 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Is this going to be a 2 hour long ripping of the franchise on the big screen? If so, maybe Russ Brandon should step in and do something about that? We may be "lovable losers" but we also have some integrity that shouldn't be jeopardized.

bills1960 Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 thin skinned much? Eh, I guess I might be overreacting a tad. As long as it ends well and we win the superbowl!
dpberr Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 This thread made me think about the last movie Reitman directed that anybody cared about. Haven't heard that guy's name in a long time.
DC Tom Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Can't be much funnier than the one Mike Mularkey directed.

I would think that using the name " Buffalo Bills", they're going to have to pay The Bills for using their name.
NoSaint Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I would think that using the name " Buffalo Bills", they're going to have to pay The Bills for using their name. I'd be curious where that like falls.
Optometric Insight Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I would think that using the name " Buffalo Bills", they're going to have to pay The Bills for using their name. Ralph is in on this idea! Didn't they already make a movie about the Bills. I think it was about wide right.
Jerry Jone's Toupee Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 I would think that using the name " Buffalo Bills", they're going to have to pay The Bills for using their name. I'm sure they will use bisons, water buffaloes or some other grazing animal.
Buffalos#1Fan Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Yeah, im not watching that ish. Maybe I will illegally stream it online once it comes out straight to dvd
Jauronimo Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Ralph is in on this idea! Didn't they already make a movie about the Bills. I think it was about wide right. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
cgang Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Can't be much funnier than the one Mike Mularkey directed. Well played sir! LOL
Canadian Bills Fan Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 At least second string had an A-List actor
SF Bills Fan Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 They already had a Bills related movie a few years back, right? Something about a replacement team? I don't think football related movies are very good except Rudy and the original Longest Yard.
The Avenger Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Sadly, the project was canned when Reitman realized that the man he envisioned to play Buddy Nix, Slim Pickens, died in 1983......
