I'm not going to say Obama is the greatest President ever but seriously, what did people honestly expect? This country was in the middle of the war and one of the worst economic downturns ever? What did you expect? It's like expecting Andrew Luck to win a SB with a 2-14 Colts team. Give the credit to whoever you want, but OBL is dead and GM isn't. Personally, I think the President should be the head coach. You need to listen to your coordinators (both parties) to find the best gameplan. Look, we're not going to change it's other's views but IMO, this converstions are what the country needs. IMO, you're too much into labels like left and right. On the other side, I definitely make assumptions about people over 40. That said, it think it was a fairly civil conversation and thanks for that. Our country needs to find more common ground and solutions instead of just blaming the other side for all the country's issues. I expected a leader to look at our country "in the middle of the war and one of the worst economic downturns ever" and NOT decide to spend an entire year force-feeding this country a health care reform law that does absolutely NOTHING to reform health care and EVERYTHING to help stall an already stalled economy. I expected someone to watch out for the best interests of the country over the best interests of his party. I expected someone whose lone arrow to stimulate the staggering economy didn't lead with stupid crap like funding grape genetics and John Murtha's airport. And that doesn't even begin to include the idea of using our tax dollars to turn 20% of GM over to his union pals. I expected competence, and all we got was a community organizer who doesn't know the first thing about leadership and problem solving. What you're essentially arguing at this point is that the WH re-election campaign should be: Obama/Biden '12: What Did You Expect? It Could Have Been Worse. Yea for us. Winning! This was 8 -10 years ago or when I was 20. I didn't brag about hooking up with anyone.
