EDinRTP
Tonight one of my best friends in Atlanta will be throwing out the first pitch at the Braves game. John Conley was diagnosed three years ago with ALS and last October was the first ALS patient still walking to have fetal stem cells (250K) into his spinal cord. The treatment seems to have helped John in his journey, but the research will definately help others down the road. Saw him last weekend and while his condition is worsening, he is doing well and is a wonderful ambassador to all those with Lou Gerhig's disease. Wish I could be there. If any of my old Atlanta Bills buddies are at the game, give John a loud cheer. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers along with the others battling this horrible disease. While John is left handed, he doesn't have the ability anymore to lift the arm enough to throw, he will use his right arm & promise to throw Brian McCann a split finger fastball!
