PromoTheRobot
I honestly believe they will have no problem finding people who would volunteer. They will have to find the ones that won't go berserk up there. PTR

PromoTheRobot
I would sign up, but I'd want to be able to come back to Earth at some point in my life. I'd bet that eventually they will have to have return flights because they will find some precious metals, etc that they will want to return to Earth. So you might be able to get back home but no guarantees. Then again after 20-30 years in Mars gravity, how will being on Earth feel? PTR
Doc
Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. In fact, it's cold as hell. And there's no there to raise them, if you did.

Optometric Insight
No. I'll take my chances here. But imagine the NFL setting up a franchise on Mars. The Mars Rovers, if you will. The profit they'll get though wouldn't be able to off set the travel expenses, though, sooooooo...

I defer to the good doctor, but would bump his man/woman ratio from 1/10 to 1/50. Just to be safe.

There is gravity in a pool, however, you can simulate movement in zeroG by taking advantage of the neutral buoyancy properties of water...
