Taro T
About 5:45PM EST today, the planet Venus will pass between the Earth and the Sun. It last happened in 2004 and won't happen again until 2117. NASA is supposed to have a live webcast for those that don't have 'solar eyeglasses' or welder's lenses available to them. The NASA channel on DTV is talking about it now. EDIT: You can also see it live at this link: Linky EDIT 2: I could see it looking through two #10 glass filter plates. It's just in front of the disk of the sun at ~1 o'clock position. Edited June 5, 2012 by Taro T
