Actually, I believe it is an opinion Steve, and I also believe it is an incorrect opinion.

 

There are six libraries in my immediate area, all of which are slam full of people every single weekend, and most weekdays. Libraries are modernized with DVDs, Blu-rays, ebooks, etc. They also do lots of activities for children, book readings and such. I would say that most people without kids probably use libraries less, but they are very well utilized in our community...

I go to libraries all the time,and I don't have kids. Why pay $40.00 for a book when I can borrow it for free?

Librarians are becoming more scarce because of budget cuts than the internet.

 

And ironically, becoming more necessary for researchers because of the internet. Ever try finding an inter-library loan yourself?

Dear !@#$ing lord that **** is awful. Half of my work wouldn't get done without having a decent librarian or five around.
