Jim in Anchorage
Hunting[in Alaska!] fishing,[tight line! fish on!] landing my plane on a dime on a gravel bar. Seeing all 20,000 feet of Mt McKinley. The list go's on, but I agree that first cup of coffee in the morning is a high light of the day.

LewPort71
Small pleasure. I will agree with others in mowing the lawn and having it look 'just right' ...add to that last night I finished mowing and 10 minutes later the rain came. Large pleasure..having your daughters saying 'Thanks' for all the things Mrs. Lew and I did for them as they were growing up.

Kevin
When the sun comes up opening morning of deer hunting season. The calm that hits right after the thunder but before the rain starts. The afternoon thunderstorms in the Sierras usually start with a hellacious thunder and lightning storm. Then it stops for a brief moment. All the birds, critters and bugs seem to vanish, and a still envelops the mountains then the rain starts. Enjoying a sunrise, and a sunset. The deafening silence of a snow storm in the mountains. The view of the lake just prior to sun up. That moment when you see the flash of the fish hitting your line. Watching my daughter catch her first fish. Smelling the pine trees when I reach the top of the Twain Harte grade. Edited June 2, 2012 by Kevin
