Jerry Jabber
As senior football advisor, will he recommend to the Eagles getting the lollipop guild for their WR corps (like he did in Buffalo)?
Lurker
Oh dear. Lurie's just the kind of fanboy owner that would buy TD's spiel. Yet another anchor chain around Andy Ried's neck... Eagle's Press Release: "An experienced and successful front office executive, Donahoe has served as the director of football operations of the Pittsburgh Steelers (1991-99) and as the general manager and team president of the Buffalo Bills (2001-05). A native of Mt. Lebanon, PA, Donahoe began his career with the Steelers as a regional scout (1986-88) and was promoted to the team’s director of pro personnel and development (1989-90). He was named the team’s director of football operations in 1991, and played a major role in the Steelers 84-60 record and six playoff appearances in his nine seasons. From 1991-99, the Steelers drafted 12 players who went on to earn 31 Pro Bowl appearances." Gotta love he quick reference to Buffalo, followed by the glowling prose about his time with the Stillers. DrDawkinstein
Seems like the perfect job. All of the access, with no accountability. Nothing can be pinned as solely his fault. "Hey, I just advised, YOU made the decision."
Mark Vader
I'd have thought Bill Polian would have been hired by an NFL team before Donahoe.
eball
In an unrelated story, the Eagles have just acquired Willis McGahee from Denver for a 1st and 2nd.
chris heff
I'll never forget him going on TV after firing Gregg Williams, and chastising the fans. How stupid to blame the customer and how arrogant.

Fan in San Diego
Good now the Iggles will draft a RB with a broken leg as a developmental player in the 1st round.
NoSaint
Good now the Iggles will draft a RB with a broken leg as a developmental player in the 1st round. to be fair, even in hindsight he was probably an average to better than average first rounder in the grand scheme of things. Nanker
Could hardly be happier for him and that team. Could not be any unhappier for them either. Maybe this breaks the curse. Mort finally swallows his, ah, eh, em, pride and gushed about the Iggles from here on out, completely forgetting The Bills. !@#$ 'em all.
